Apple-Berry Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2014
Perfect!! Added a few more apples (I used green apples) and used coconut sugar as a healthier sugar. I was going to just use cornstarch as others did, but read up on the superior texture of tapioca and dug out tapioca flour. This was a perfect pie. I made a lattice top and baked at 375 for about 25 minutes, and then an additional 15-20 minutes at 325 until I saw the apples/berries bubbling. This is how I knew it was done. I had to lightly foil my edges as they were browning too much. Yum! Thank you!

Grilled Pork Loin Chops

Reviewed: May 14, 2014
This is very similar to my Wolfgang Puck recipe for baby back ribs except way easier!!! We were worried the sweet sauce would burn on the bbq, so we just grilled the chops on the bbq with salt and pepper. Then, we drizzled the sauce that we had simmered over the pork chops. Delicious!

Butter Chickpea Curry

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
For a healthier take, I omitted the potatoes, used coconut milk instead of heavy cream, and used canned crushed tomatoes because that's what I had in the pantry, and it was delicious! Great with the bite-sized salmon tikka and basmati rice. Thanks!

Bite-Sized Salmon Tikka

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2013
Yummy! We were hesitant but it was delicious! Added a few more spices on the second batch, such as coriander and black pepper, and also only used enough oil to panfry. Great suggestion a reviewer had to serve it with the Butter Chickpea Curry and Basmati Rice.

Dawn's Candied Walnuts

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2013
I usually make a thicker gooier more decadent recipe than this but wanted my walnuts light and slightly sweet for a deconstructed apple pie. It turned out perfect. I added a touch of cardamon, since I wanted to incorporate this flavor in my apple pie. Yum! Thanks!

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2011
This recipe was great and the yorkshire puddings rose perfectly and looked beautifully. However, they were slightly overcooked and dried out at 35 minutes, but this was most likely because of my convection oven. Cook for a shorter amount of time if using the convection oven.

Emily's Famous Hash Browns

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
This recipe produces a really well flavored hash brown. Delicious and nice and crispy. I added a pinch of cayenne pepper which gave it a little bit more bang. Unfortunately I put them in an oven, uncovered to stay warm, and they lost their crisp and I think the potatoes continued to cook, because it became quite starchy. So, serve immediately!

Simple Scones

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2010
This was my first attempt at making scones. The flavors for the blueberry lemon scones were amazing. However, the texture was very much like a muffin top, but slightly crispy all around. Very delicious and moist but not exactly what I was looking for. Just read a recipe for Giada's strawberry rosemary scones..sounds delicious.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Great Pizza Sauce! As others suggested, I put in half of the honey and it was exquisite!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2009
This chocholate chip cookie recipe tops my Neiman Marcus chocolate chip cookie. It is absolutely delicious! My first batch of cookies came out perfectly soft and tasty. I had added 1 TA vanilla, 1/4 TSPN salt, 1 TSPN baking powder. Using my convection oven, I baked at 325 for approximately 12 minutes. They came out perfect. The second time I made the cookie, Ii did not let the butter soften enough so the batter was difficult to work with (very sticky) and the cookies flattened out but STILL turned out delicious...they were soft in the middle and crispy on the outside.
