Marinara with White Wine

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2011
Great recipe! I used fresh tomatoes plus a can of tomatoes with chiles for a little zip! I served over a bed of aldente thin spaghetti this time but this would be great on homemade pizza crust or french bread as a Bruschetta! Just add some cheese! You must love anchovies for this one, scale down the anchovies if you have any doubt!

Hubby loves these! I did add some cinnamon and used 1/2 brown sugar. I made 6 muffins and baked as usual but with the rest of the batter, I added a little milk and made waffles out of it! EXELLANT and so healthy!

Pretty dessert! Very tasty! We added Orange juice instead of milk just to add a little tartness to the sweet of the marshmallow! Lightens ups the sweetness a bit!Really great dish to share during the summer months!

Awesome Egg Rolls

Reviewed: May 14, 2010
Easy and Delicious! The only thing I added was some grated fresh ginger just because I happened to have some! I did use the coleslaw mix just because its so much easier...saves so much time! I froze half of them uncooked so I will report back when I cook them! Thanks for the recipe!

Pistachio Cake III

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2010
Really moist cake! I had to use vanilla puddinig (I thought I had pistachio but nope) so I used vanilla extract instead. Very pretty for St. Paddy's Day! Used chocolate canned frosting, heated it in the microwave to drizzle. 5 stars for fast and easy!

Gourmet Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
I used some homemade pre-baked pizza crusts (Grill Dough recipe) and just used a rotisserie chicken, diced, fresh salsa as the diced tomatoes and onions, and ranch dip (all I had but worked great) as the sauce,,,really tasty! I had a couple of pieces of turkey bacon I diced for the top too!

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
Very good! Healthy and Filling! I did this all in the crockpot...did the meat first ( a steak that needed to be used up and some venison pieces) About the last 2 hours, I added the barley and a can of mixed veggies. So mine was more like a stew, a ton of meat, and pretty cheap because I needed to use up that can of mix veggies. I chopped my meat into bite size pieces....steak will hold its shape in the crockpot and became real tender after 4-5 hours in the crockpot! Served with corn mufins...great Super Bowl meal!

Basic Corn Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2010
I halved the recipe and used a whole egg....came out wonderful! Not too dry, and they didn't crumble, yahoo! I sprayed the pan with oil spray, didn't fiddle with paper muffin cups this time! Thanks for the recipe! I love this recipe! UPDATE: Made the recipe exactly as stated and worked wonderfully again! TIP: Don't overmix. Let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes and the lumps will disapear...more tender muffins with a higher rise!

Grill Dough

RAINY DAY tips! Made the dough in the breadmaker, followed the recipe to a "T" otherwise.I let it rise/rest for 15 minutes before I prebaked the crust for about 8 minutes @400. Then added all the toppings and baked for 20 minutes. Easy and really good!

Homemade Pan Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
Used my new KA Mixer, and I used the dough hook all the way! Step one needed some scaping down the bowl but once it was all mixed, I let it knead for 8 minutes! Make sure you only add 1/4 cup flour at a time at the end....I did not need all the flour(right at 3 cups total) but it all depends on your flour and the moisture in the air. These are so so SOFT and FLUFFY! Almost like Parkerhouse dinner rolls but tastier! Great recipe!

Onesy-Twosy Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
Excellent cookie! Made these for Thanksgiving and even the people who weren't fond of peanut butter LOVED them! I have to say it is the best peanut butter cookie I've ever made! Chewy in the middle and crisp edges....not dry at all, like the kind the you have to have milk with or you choke? Not this cookie!

Simple Knefla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
Thanks, Winter! Great starter recipe! Hubby is from Ashley, ND so I had to make a few changes to make it like his Mom's! I made the soup part exactly as you said, then added a bay leaf and 1/2 tsp of allspice for flavoring. Used McNess soup base, a favorite in ND! Hubby like his Knephla to be like noodle so I added another cup of flour and less milk, just made to dough consistantly. Then like my MIL does it, clipped small bits off the dough ball, with the kitchen scissors, into the boiling water, Hubby said to double the noodle part next time! He ate all I made by himself! Low calorie, low cholesteral and so quick!
