Hi, Guys! GDerr's "Relocation Director" here...LOL! Here's the FINAL FINAL dates. The actual Allrecipes Get-together at the restaurant is Saturday, Sept 15th at Hunt's Restaurant  , at 11 - 11:30 am. DON'T BE LATE! The line winds all around the building by noon! They have all types of seafood & burgers...alligator, frog legs, oysters, shrimp, crab claws... you name it! Casual dining, flip flops and shorts are preferred, a Florida experience!

VIEW FROM THE BALCONY! You have been cooking and baking all year! Time for a vacation!

There is so much to do in Panama City Beach that I have a room booked for a week. (Coming in Fri, Sept 14th, so we can have a night's sleep before the Get-together the next morning!) All hubbys are WELCOME! Lots of fishing and man things to do! We most generally meet for an early dinner out at a restaurant during the week, but Pelicangal and I usually always have sammies or stuff to graze on when you get in on Friday, sitting on the  our table waiting for you at the condo.Wine and beer will be available, also. Just a OMG isn't this a beautiful place, after your long journey and unloading everything!  A quick Welcome party after all the travels!

Here is the Condo info>

Someone will have to reserve each condo and guarantee the reservation for each condo. Then  that person will have to collect from each person that stays in the condo. I think that 2 rooms are full with 4 gals each already, but if you need  to share a room, I will get you in touch with others that are looking for the same. Email me @ cindylepp@yahoo.com

This year the plans are: No plans! Go with the flow...
But us girls want to swim with the dolphins, para-sailing is right next door.
Robin and Gderr parasailing! Dolphins seen from our balcony! http://www.bluedolphintour.com/
A day trip to St. George's Island, shopping at the local food store. Junk shopping, tourist shopping, going down to the Pier Place (tourist), eating oysters, we found a new blue crab place to investigate, great steak place there also, sunburns and salty skin...swim, swim swim! Beach bums! Every night we'll have a day trip planned for the next day or you can help decide the plans. You can go on the day trip ideas or do your own thing....Some of us can't stay all week so stay as long as you can! One day in the middle of the week, we all want to just stay home at the condos and eat at home, everyone get together.Stay at the beach all day, no makeup, wet and bedraggled all day! Seee..... I told you it'd be fun!

Oh Cindy, that picture looks so inviting. I'm going to be $$$ challenged after the Midwest Roundup, but planning for next year. I'll just live the Southern Roundup vicariously through ya'll (did I get that right?) and drool. LOL! Good job on arranging the logistics and planning.
Mar. 11, 2012 11:18 am
Will see you at the Midwest Round-up, Candice! I'm staying with Lady Sparkles and Magnolia Blossom! I think you are in the same hotel! XOXO
Mar. 11, 2012 11:28 am
Thanks Cindy, I made another $60 for the cause last night so I have just about enough money for the airfare. Now I get to start saving for the fun stuff. Woo Hoo!!!
Mar. 11, 2012 11:45 am
WOOHOO! Keep checking back, Jan! xoxo
Mar. 11, 2012 11:47 am
Sounds like an absolute blast, Cindy! I would LOVE to be there with you guys, have a few for me! My nephew is getting married in the Caribbean a few weeks before, so can't take the time off, but next year for sure. Can't wait to see your pics :)
Mar. 11, 2012 11:50 am
Won't I see you in Ohio tho,Savvy? The original Allrecipes Get-together, the Buckeye Reunion
Mar. 11, 2012 11:55 am
We are going to be there this year! We had already planned to spend some time in the Panhandle in Oct. in our RV so we just moved our trip up a month, just so we can be there for the round up. I made our reservations this morning at St. Andrews State Park. Thank goodness, there were only two waterfront sites left...sheesh! We are looking forward to seeing everyone.
Mar. 11, 2012 11:58 am
Hope so, Cindy! There were some rumblings out there a few months ago about doing the Buckeye Bash same weekend in June....think it would be June 9th this year.
Mar. 11, 2012 11:59 am
Woohoo, Sherri! Gary told me about you guys coming but I didn't find a suitable RV park close yet! Glad you found something!
Mar. 11, 2012 12:01 pm
I'm so excited about everyone who is coming!
Mar. 11, 2012 12:07 pm
I knew that... MB called me the other evening and told me you were bunking with them. I got so excited! We'll have a wonderful time. HOPE we don't get ourselves kicked out of the hotel there in Kearny. hehehehe
Mar. 11, 2012 12:13 pm
LOL, Candice! We're all good girls! giggling...
Mar. 11, 2012 12:13 pm
That'll be a major slumber party!
Mar. 11, 2012 12:15 pm
No one gets any sleep, pillow feathers everywhere, Yak yak yak all night! Walk 5 miles in the morning! Can't wait!
Mar. 11, 2012 12:16 pm
Slumber Party being the operative word here. I poop out early. So, I am truly a party POOPER!!!! But, I'm still fun!
Mar. 11, 2012 12:17 pm
If there's a pillow fight in the works, then I'm in!
Mar. 11, 2012 12:19 pm
Well I looked it up and we are about 12 miles away, about twenty min. drive. But rates are much better there than some of the fancy RV parks. We prefer the rustic camping anyway. We have a kayak and anyone that wants to come and kayak while we're there is welcome to.
Mar. 11, 2012 12:42 pm
Sounds like fun, Sherri! It gives another outing to do! I love the National Forests...that's a good day plan too!
Mar. 11, 2012 12:47 pm
We'll have to arrange, who's going to drive and such when we get there...I have a mini SUV, a Ford Focus....we'll do those specific details as everyone comes in and we all get together! The water will be so warm at that time! (even if I dump the kayak!)
Mar. 11, 2012 2:52 pm
I wish, but I will have to do the vicarious AR thrill too! When was the first, very first AR roundup? It was sassylady who started this all wasn't it? My memory stinks but I remember reading about it and thinking what fun! Whoever gets to go to whichever roundup, I KNOW you will have fun and I wish you all safe journeys to and from :)(:
Mar. 11, 2012 2:57 pm
great blog my relocation director! we had a weird day. i'm gonna call you in a little while. but, you have detailed the plans much better than my feeble mind could do. yep a perfectionist! we love ya!

Hey Cindy - - great job on all the line up and info -- it's a job to do and you've done it well!! I plan to come - but I have a question about a "bunking plan" - - - I will be arriving probably early evening on Friday 14th and I have to leave Monday morning the 17th - - so I can't stay a week - is there a hotel or someplace close by that I can stay for the few days that I can come? Any recommendations? Thanks for all the leg work Cindy!
Mar. 11, 2012 4:49 pm
Luv2cook....I do believe there's an opening in the 2nd room. I hate to say it, but it's probably still $155. Stay as long as you can! You are certainly WELCOME and will be so glad to see you! Please email me and I'll put your emails together. I really think you want to stay at the Celadon condos, we feed you most meals and then we go out to eat once a day. Load up the Allrecipes van, bus, car!LOL!

Mar. 12, 2012 11:50 am
Add me to that list Cindy...We'll figger out transportation later..I will have my "new to me" SUV by then so if you want to come here, I can drive from here. I should be able to carry at least 4 adults, maybe more....will email you
Mar. 12, 2012 12:05 pm
Yippee!!! Can't wait! Thanks for all the details, Cindy! Not sure yet if I'll drive or fly, but will see you all on Friday either way!

I have always wanted to join one of these trips, they sound like so much fun. Please make a plan to visit St. George one day. It is gorgeous. I take my grandchildren and Mom there for a week every summer. I live in Tallahassee so it's only 70 miles away. If you get food while you're there, The Blue Parrot is a good choice as is Eddie Teaches (outdoor raw bar). Eddie Teaches usually has live music in the afternoon later in the week. Also, check out the Some Like it Hot food store. Hundreds of peppers, spices and "cooking" gadgets.
Mar. 13, 2012 10:11 am
Great Info, BJM! Thanks so much! We hadn't made any plans on what to do in St George's and that sounds like it will fit the bill! Please try to come for the get-together on Sat. Sept 15th, even if you can only make it a day trip! We'd all love to meet you!

About Me
Down here in Central Coast Florida since late Aug. 2012. I still cook and bake and its so good to be around family again!
My favorite things to cook
There is just one of me but I do cook dinner almost every night. I love easy dishes on the nights I really don't feel like cooking. Grandmommy Capps lived in Rocky Mount, NC....Sundays were a holiday! Dinner was at 2pm. Leftovers were snacks later(dark thirty)....she was a great biscuit and piemaker. Being the oldest of 23 grandchildren, I was the BEST dishwasher! Hand wash everything in a washpan! I know....you've never heard of it??? You need one to play as your wash sink, and then you rinse in the kitchen sink.....It was fun.....no air dry either....someone had to dry ALL the dishes! I love my Sis for that!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have ham, blackeyed peas, collard greens, and corn muffins on New Year's Day for good luck! Peanut blossums are my favorite cookie for Christmas!
My cooking triumphs
"Banana Crumb Muffins" were delicious & gorgeous, looked store-bought!
My cooking tragedies
I have left the neck(in the bag) in the turkey in the past 5 years! I should know better! Always rememember to check BOTH ends of the turkey before you cook it! I'm Blonde...Sheesh!!
