About this Cook
I am a 26 yr old stay at home mom. I joined allrecipes because it has the best variety of recipes! Cooking is a new passion of mine. I used to automatically say "I can't cook worth beans", but a little over a year ago, I became a stay at home and had time to experiment with cooking. I realized that you can be a great cook if you put your heart into it.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything that comes out good! lol But I have found a nack for desserts. I took up cake decorating, so I love to experiment with different cake recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom is an awesome cook, when I was growing up we used to do big Sunday breakfasts. We would wake up with the smell of bacon and sausage and didn't have to be told to do anything, she had us on a hook! lol These breakfasts were huge, everything you could think of. I definitely carry on this tradition with my own family.
My cooking triumphs
Sugar Cream Pie! I love a good sugar cream pie, but you can't find them fresh anywhere in NC. About a year after I moved here, I had had enough. My mom had told me they could be tricky to make and that she just buys frozen ones. I would do no such thing! I would master the art of making sugar cream pies or I wouldn't have one! After about three flops, I made a beauty. lol
My cooking tragedies
Souffle! I love a good carrot or corn souffle, but so far all flops. Also I am working on steaks, my husband loves a good steak, and I was a vegetarian for nine years. lol So, needless to say I need a little help with my steak methods.

Whole Wheat Blueberry Pancakes
I love this recipe! The only thing I do differently is I use sugar and I double it. I also put the sugar in the blueberries and stick it in the microwave for 1 minute, it makes the blueberries soft and sweet. I always have to double it to make enough for my family.

Triple Threat Fruit Smoothie
We loved this. Only thing different was we didn't have bananas, can't wait to try it with them. Yumm!
