Greek Pasta Salad III

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
Great! I cut back the oil and vinegar to 1/3 cup of each and added cucumbers, fresh spinach, and used kalamata olives and less mushrooms....but in general a tasty dressing recipe and then use the veggies you prefer/have available.

Quick and Almost-Professional Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
Delicious & easy! Made enough to top 24 cupcakes (no piping). I loved this recipe and will definitely use it again, if I were to pipe with it I'd refrigerate it for at least 15 minutes.

California Style Israeli Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2010
This is a great salad! I served it at a BBQ and will do so again, people liked the crunch and flavors. It was many of their's first taste of jicama and I they enjoyed it for the most part. I didn't have dried parsley and substituted dried basil, I'd consider adding fresh cilantro next time.

Miso Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2009
pretty good, my first attempt at making miso soup (or even using miso). I used kale instead of spinach, and a lot more than the recipe calls for. I just know that I like kale in soup and had some so I made the change, next time I'll try bok choy. It was kind of bland and I doubled the miso paste, that must have something to do with my paste. I'll definitely make again, seems like there are lots of good variations.

Queenie's Killer Tomato Bagel Sandwich

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
I make mine with tomato, baby spinach and "laughing cow" light garlic & herb spreadable cheese. I put it on whatever type of bread I have, usually whole wheat toast and sometimes throw in cucumbers....love it for breakfast or lunch!

Ken's Minestrone Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2008
This is very good soup. I added orzo (which I cooked before and added after simmering for 30 minutes) and didn't use as much water. Very hearty!!

Rae's Vegetarian Chili

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
quick, easy & delicious!! For my tastes the spice measurements were perfect. I didn't use cannelli beans and used 14 oz more diced tomatos instead of the tomato sauce. I just noticed there are no onions in this recipe, it tastes great, but next time I think I'll add an onion w/ the garlic at the beginning. This chili is hearty and I definitely don't even miss the meat (or cheese)!

Quinoa and Black Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2008
MMMMM...I really liked this! It was my first experience w/ quinoa and I'll definately make it again. I only used one can of beans and ate it as a main course, maybe 3 hearty servings. As many people have suggested, I think adding tomatoes would be good.
