Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2015
This is a good recipe but a little too hot for our family. I will make it again and cut back on the spices a bit. I also thought it needed more salt. I added cheddar cheese and little sour cream to cool it down. UPDATE: made this again and used chicken broth instead of water, 2 cans of petite diced tomatoes instead of crushed tomatoes, a few squeezes of tomato paste and left out the cayenne. Added shredded cheddar on top. The spices were perfect and this wasn't as soupy by adding the tomato paste. This was now a 5 star in my opinion.

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2015
Easy to make and very tasty. I decided to bake this in a glass baking dish instead of wrapped in foil. Sliced lemon on top while baking at 450 degrees for about 20 minutes. Yummy!

Winter Green Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2015
I made a few changes only because I used what I had. I didn't have collard greens or kale, so I used baby spinach and romaine. I also used an apple instead of a pear and left out the tomato. The dressing was very good and the salad was a big hit with my family! I think I will make this again exactly the way I made it! Yummy!!

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2015
This was very good. The only changes I made was to use diced tomatoes instead of crushed. I had only one cup of lentils so I threw in some elbows macaroni. Very filling meal.

Savory Sea Scallops and Angel Hair Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2014
This was super easy and really good. The only thing I did different was add cream cheese instead of heavy cream, which was the only creamy thing I had in the house. I used penne pasta. Everyone loved this and it will be made again!

Golden Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2014
I made these so I could make pigs in a.blanket. I didn't let them rise and just rolled them out and rolled the hot dogs inside. They were incredible. Tasted just like the crescent rolls from the store. It was a quick spur of the moment snack.

Classic Fish and Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2014
This turned out great! I followed the recipe exactly and it was perfect. It was crispy and delicious. I think the key is to make sure your fish is not too wet. I dried the fish thoroughly and it came out just the way we like it.

Beef Stew VI

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2013
This was a very good base recipe. I just added a few more things to it. First of all, I had no white potatoes, so I added sweet potatoes which were white inside, (I don't know what kind they were). I also added a can of diced tomatoes and a couple bay leaves and some frozen green beans. I first put the beef in a mixture of flour, salt and pepper, shook it in a plastic bag and then browned it in the oil. The rest I followed from the recipe. This was SO good! My husband who loves his white potatoes liked the way this came out. Yum!
