Slow Cooker Lancaster County Pork and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
Good and easy but not our favorite. We added mustard, brown sugar, green peppers and some granny smith apple slices.

Easy Beef Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2007
Very good pot pie. I used the refrigerated pie crusts which were perfectly cooked. The canned mixed vegetables I used had potatoes which was a nice addition to the pie. I might explore using frozen vegetables next time to see if their was a big difference. Will make again.

Easy and Elegant Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
Simple and tasty. Next time I will experiment with how I get the bread crumbs to stick to the tenderloin. Someone mentioned coating the meat in olive oil and then sprinkling with bread crumbs, this might work better for me since I had much of the bread crumbs fall off after cooking.

Red Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
Delicious and easy. Spiced it up with some chili powder, garlic powder and some sea salt during the simmer phase. I would cook more rice next time - 1 cup was not enough, but a definite keeper.

Honey Ribs

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
Very easy and quite tasty. I didn't add maple syrup (used more BBQ sauce and water instead) and it was maybe a tad too watery in the end... but still tasted great and was "fall off the bone" done in 5 hours.

Easy Mexican Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2007
Delicious casserole. Relatively easy to make and very easy to modify to suit your tastes. I added corn, onion and taco mix along with the salsa while cooking the meat, and I used black beans instead of chili beans. I also used some canned green chilies in the layering and used more cheese than recommended... it turned out great. My wife says its her favorite casserole I've made (I'm on a casserole kick).
