Easy Turkey Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2013
I followed the directions for ingredients, but due to our busy schedule, instead of baking for 40 minutes, I added some cream and milk to a rich, creamy consistency and let it simmer on the stove for a few minutes. Everything was cooked thru, warm and the family loved it. Usually they hate leftover turkey or chicken. This was great, it was all gone and they were fine if I made it again. And I wll.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2013
Wonderful! Reduced the salt by 1/2tsp, added 1/2tsp soda. Creamed butter and sugars then added dry ingredients by hand mixing. Kept the batter chilled for a while, turned out perfect! We also have tried add-ins such as toffee bits and coconut and they come out wonderful. A delicious and versatile cookie!

Chesscakes

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
Excellent! Cute! Quick! Delish! I made these using a mini-cupcake type pan from Wilton, that has 24 minicakes in it. The recipe made 2 of these sheets for a total of 48 pieces. I used the vanilla/Rasp. jam and a Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust that you just open and unroll. I also sprayed the pan well. They came out easy and the kids loved them. Great finger food that looks like it took a lot of time, but it was so quick! Thanks for the recipe!

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
I was torn between 4 and 5 stars. There is a lot of liqueur in this recipe, so much so that it is very apparent. When I use a liqueur I usually want some taste of it, but not as strong as out of the bottle. I have a recipe that uses a few Tablespoons, I will return to that recipe. Also I did add a 1/4 cup of water to this recipe, the wording said it would be thick, but WOW, I was too afraid it was overly thick, so I thinned it a bit (my other recipe uses 1 cup of boiling water)-so I knew it wouldn't hurt anything. It was moist, rich, and cut well the next morning. Held up well at the bake sale.

Southern Chess Squares

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
These were excellent and SO easy and quick. I left out the pecans, due to being in a pinch and not having any and they were still delish. I cut them up in to bars for a bake sale, they were not hard enough to have sharp edges, but that was their appeal, they were visibly moist and soft and SOLD like hotcakes. Will make again for my family.

Fabulous Fudge Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
I would give this 3.5 stars. Of the cakes I have tried this one is definitely in the lower half of choices. I did try it with the extra chocolate still to no avail. The texture was so-so, the flavor was decent, but I won't make this one again. When I take time to make a cake from scratch, it needs to beat one out of the box or I've wasted my time, this one didn't pass that test.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2011
My hubby doesn't like syurp. So usually pancakes are a downer of a meal for him, but he doesn't make a fuss, since the rest of the family likes them. Then we tried these, now he asks for pancakes!

Fluffy Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2011
Best yet! Also great with Butter instead of shortening and Buttermilk instead of milk. Makes a great camping biscuit cooked in a Dutch oven, just put extra oil in, place biscuit in and flip over once (to oil both sides) and bake over coals with oven lid on. MMmmm!

Pralines

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
Boiled about 3-4 min. at a full boil. The first couple I took out of the pot were too thin, had to wait about 3-5 min. to let them cool down enough. Didn't have a lot of ice, so I used a cold water bath. They haze over when they start getting cool enough, and they look more creamy colored than a translucent caramel color. They are great!

Worked out just like it said! Perfect recipe. I put the milk in the bowl and added the sugar to it, seemed to work best that way.
