ADD SOY SAUCE!! I took another reviewer's advice and tossed in a little low sodium soy sauce, omitting the salt. It was FABULOUS! I am all about the salty/crunchy cravings so this is a wonderful substitute! Adding in low sodium soy sauce replaces the sea salt, and leaves each "chip" with a little more flavor.
After breaking up the kale, I put it in a bowl, used spray olive oil to lightly coat, tossed it, sprinkled it with soy sauce (~2 tbs), tossed it, and followed the rest of the recipe.
They turned out great! I can see how they aren't for everyone, but so easy they are worth a try. I ended up finding my new favorite salty snack food!
