Fluffy Pancakes

These were almost really good...and then you get the aftertaste. Maybe its from the vinegar? I don't know, but it definitely had a weird aftertaste. Think I'll stick with bisquick!

Teriyaki Chicken Pizza

This was pretty good. I first tried using the pilsbury tubes of dough and this was a disaster...I didn't have a rolling pin and I just couldn't get it rolled out right, and then it ended up sticking to the pan. So I sent my husband to the store to get a Boboli crust. I didn't pre-cook it at all since it isn't dough. I only sprinkled on a light layer of onions because I'm not a fan of them. I also only put pinapple on half the pizza because my husband doesn't like it. We both liked it! My husband is already asking when i'm going to make it again. I may marinate the chicken in the teriyaki sauce next time...while marinading in pinapple juice sounded like it should be awesome, the chicken really didn't have much flavor.

Chicken With Mushrooms

I added a can of cream of mushroom soup as others had done, and added the cheese in the last 15 minutes. But sadly, I really wasn't crazy about the chicken at all...it was really bland and I couldn't even finish it. However, the gravy tasted awesome over white rice!

Pumpkin Ginger Cupcakes

Yummy! Okay, so I couldn't find crystalized ginger. Instead I used 1 1/4 tsp of ginger as others had. Other than that I followed the recipe, except for one mess up....I had already started to pour the batter into the muffin pan when I realized I had completely missed the step with the pumpkin puree and vanilla! Oops! So I had to go back and add those. Very tasty! Topped with cream cheese frosting and a couple candy corn.

Black Magic Cake

Ohhhh...this is really good. I will never make cake from a box again! I followed the recipe exactly, except that I made cupcakes instead of a cake. Baked for about 20 minutes. Really yummy! I made a cream cheese frosting to go with, and that was good, but I think a chocolate frosting will go a lot better.

Orange Rosemary Chicken

I used boneless chicken breasts instead, and cooked them on the grill. It didn't turn out how I expected it to at all, I couldn't really taste the orange. It was still good, though. Had a subtle flavor to it. I agree with what someone else said, strain out the rosemary before you cook (if using dried), otherwise it tastes like you're eating pine needles.

Faux Jerk Chicken

Good stuff! I couldn't find a scotch bonnet pepper, so I just used a chili pepper. It was good! Came out pretty spicy...I'm not big on spicy, but my husband loved it.

I agree with others that said it was kind of bland. I'd still probably use this recipe again on nights when I can't think of anything else to do. It's just nothing to get excited about.

Both my husband and I love this, and I don't even like pork normally! I almost don't like to make it, because the smell of the pork cooking makes me feel sick, but it's worth it!
