Pico de Gallo

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
So delicious. I used a yellow onion instead of red, canned chile peppers rather than fresh jalapeno (it's what I had), all fresh garlic (no garlic powder, I much prefer fresh), and dried cilantro instead of fresh (again, what I had), and it still turned out amazing. I can just imagine what it would taste like exactly as made! I will definitely make this again.

Basic Chicken Stock

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
It needed some herbs, but that's why it's a BASIC chicken stock--easy to personalize. :) I added some peppercorns, fresh garlic, parsley, basil, thyme, and oregano. Turned out delicious.

Strawberry Soup I

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
Loved it! I used a pound of frozen strawberries (defrosted), 1/2 cup orange juice, about 1 1/2 cups of vanilla yogurt, and ginger. I didn't add any water or sugar, and it was still awesome. Garnished with some whipped cream. Delicious!

Pasta Bean Soup

Reviewed: May 22, 2009
DELICIOUS. I used red kidney beans, canned spinach, and macaroni, because that's what I had on hand. I also used extra garlic and spinach. I will definitely be making this again.

Slow Cooker Oatmeal

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
Delicious, creamy, and easy! I eat this for breakfast at least once or twice a week. Rather than use half and half, I use about two tablespoons of real maple syrup and 2/3 cup of brown sugar, added in the morning, to make homemade maple-brown sugar oatmeal. Of course, I like my oatmeal sweet. It's easy enough to add/subtract the sugar and syrup to your taste! A thousand times better than Quaker!

Quick Chicken Fajitas

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
Delicious, if a little tomato-y. My boyfriend put away three in no time and asked me to make it again sometime soon. :)

Ray's Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
This was fantastic. I had last minute company tonight and couldn't figure out what to make. My boyfriend asked for grilled chicken, so I defrosted a few breasts and whipped this up. I could only marinate for like half an hour, but it turned out phenomenal. My boyfriend's brother actually asked what was in the marinade. :D

Old-Time Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
These were fantastic. Like someone else said, I was wary of using molasses because of the strong flavor, but it turned out wonderfully. This was the first time my boyfriend tried popcorn balls and I was afraid I'd get a bad recipe, but this was fantastic. :D
