Citrus Turkey Brine

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
This was great, though I think it was a combination of the brine and method of cooking. I used a 4 lb. chicken instead, and got some great roast chicken tips from a food blog. Simply great presentation and even better tasting. Thanks!

Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2009
This recipe was very delicious, and I made very minimal changes. The only things I did differently was let the garlic/rosemary paste sit on the meat for about an hour before cooking it, and putting the wine right in the pan while cooking. Great, thank you for a great dinner option!

Honeyed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
We thought this was great. Followed all ingredients exactly, but marinated the pork in the mixture for about 8 hours instead. Then took the pork out, browned both sides and put in baking dish with the marinade. Very delicious and flavorful.

Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2008
These turned out very delicious, a great breakfast snack. I pretty much followed the recipe to the tee, except for using vanilla flavored yogurt because that's all I had. Thanks for a great recipe!

Fast and Friendly Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
I think this is a good starting point for meatballs, gives you a good idea of the basic recipe. Then you can add in whatever herbs you like to personalize it to your own taste. We added 2 Tbs. parm cheese, as well as some sage, garlic, and salt/pepper.

Herb-Crusted Chuck Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2008
I only gave this four stars because I think the cut of meat was not that great (really fatty) and detracted from the dish... but you get what you pay for. However, the rub itself was fabulous and I will definitely be using that again. Smelled so good while it was cooking. I think it would also taste good on chicken too.

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
I admit, I did change the recipe a bit but it still turned out good. I only had a whole chicken (instead of BLSL chicken) that I marinated and then stuck in the over for a few hours. The flavors probably weren't as strong, but I am anxious to try it as the recipe states. It smelled great as it was cooking!

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
This was delicious and easy to make. I added some extra veggies because that's what we like here, but this recipe definitely lends well to changes based on preference. Thanks!

Cowboy Oatmeal Cookies

Wow, these are super sweet. They tasted good, a nice change of pace from the same-old same-old chocolate chip cookies that I usually make.

Wow, so good and so easy. Way better than store-bought and probably way cheaper too. I paired this with Spinach Noodles from this site and it tastes awesome. Thanks!

Wow, these turned out really great! I had no idea that it was so easy to make flavorful, homemade noodles. I will definitely make these again. I paired my noodles with Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce from this site and it was amazing. Thanks!

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2008
Wow, this is a great little breakfast muffin. I did have to make a few changes because of what I had, but the end result was perfect. No walnuts, extra apples and raisins. Cut the sugar down a bit, and used applesauce instead of apple butter. Thanks for the great recipe!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2008
Wow, my loaves turned out awesome! Followed the recipe almost to the tee. From the suggestions of others, I upped the temp to 325 and cooked for 55 min, checking every 5 minutes after for doneness. I think it was about 1hr 10min when I finally took them out. So good! I also halved the recipe as well.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2008
I've made this recipe twice, and both times my husband and I just loved it. Can't believe how quickly the two of us get through a loaf. I usually add extra zucchini (a packed two cups) and it always turns out great. Thanks so much!

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2008
I think that this is a good base recipe, and can really be altered to fit anyone's tastes. We're veggie lovers here, so we omitted the olives and added a handful each of onions, celery, and green pepper for some added veggie flavor. Also laid some sliced cucumbers on top for a little extra fun... Cooked chicken would have been great in here too, I think we'll try that next time!
