Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

This was perfection! I used a bag of mini chocolate chips and they melted just perfectly to give it that creamy chocolate texture. I also used German Choc cake mix just out of personal preference (I think it is a little more moist). I also used vanilla instead of almond extract because we aren't big almond fans. Make sure you spray your pan really well, and the cake will slide right out. Also, bake on cookie sheet because it does boil over a little. This was DELISH! Moist and creamy and SO great! I made it for my MIL's birthday, and everyone loved it!! Keeper for sure!

Barbeque Pork Two Ways

YUM! I cooked the recipe as written, and then after it was done, removed a little of the liquid and added BBQ. It turned out great! I didn't even have to shred the meat! I just mixed it and it fell apart. This is a great one for picnics and get togethers!

Cheesy Acorn Squash

WOW! Not in a million years would I put these ingredients together, but I am glad I found this recipe and did! The sweet squash and savory ingredients blended perfectly! Others said they cut down on the filling, but I filled with what I could, then after baking, scooped the squash onto the plate and topped with the remaining filling. I followed the recipe to a T and this is a new favorite I am sure I will make many time this fall!!!

Spinach and Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta

This was fantastic! VERY easy and quick. I didn't have pine nuts on hand, and didn't think we would miss them, but I think that nutty flavor would add a lot to the recipe. I had the sun dried tomatoes in oil from Costco, so I boiled them in broth to get some of the oil off and then diced. I added about 3/4 of the broth to the spinach mixture, then added the noodles and let simmer for about 3-4 minutes and this was perfect. The heat from the pepper flakes and the other flavors co-mingle perfectly!!

Very good! I used brown rice instead of regular for a little bit healthier option. I also baked them in chicken broth for a little more flavor. I ended up using a little more tomato sauce for a little more moistness.

Three-Berry Lemon Trifle

This was AMAZING!! I made it for my boyfriends family bbq and by the end of the day, they were asking him when he was going to propose. I used vanilla yogurt instead of lemon so it wasn't too overwhelmingly lemon and it was perfect! I also sliced strawberries and made a really pretty design on top instead of using almonds. This was light and refreshing and BEAUTIFUL. They all kept saying it must have taken hours, when really it took about 20 minutes. Make sure you make it the night before though and let it chill overnight. It lets the flavors really mingle and was SO good!

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Fantastic!!! I made a few changes though. I sprayed the crock with non stick cooking spray, and I added sliced potato, 1 onion chopped, and 1 bag of baby carrots in the bottom of the crock. I stuffed one onion inside the chicken for some great flavor. I put 1 1/2 cups chicken broth in the bottom of the crock and then put garlic salt, black pepper, herbs de province, and minced garlic on the actual chicken. I put the seasonings under the skin to ensure great flavor. After you enjoy the chicken the first night, shred whats left & throw it back in the pot with some egg noodles for a easy and delish chicken noodle soup the next night! 2 meals in one!!

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

This definitely lives up to its name! It was DELICIOUS!! Everyone gave it 2 big thumbs up! I added about 1 tbsp of minced garlic because we like things really garlicy, and it turned out great! I marinated over night, and the flavor was phenomenal!!

Kettle Corn

This is DANGEROUS!! I made a batch, and we had it gone before we were halfway through our movie! Definitely use the 3 kernel test (add oil, and 3 kernels of popcorn...when they pop, add sugar and the rest of the kernels). I made this in my stir crazy popper, and it was SO easy not having to stir it all the time. This was quick and easy, and DELISH!

Sour Cream-Rhubarb Squares

DELICIOUS!! I followed the recipe completely, and they came out perfectly! The only thing I added was 1 tsp vanilla. Would be good as a dessert or a coffee cake! YUM!

Wisconsin Slow Cooker Brats

These were delish! I didnt add the ketchup (mostly because I was in such a hurry, I forgot), but I think this is what we will do for brats from now on! The beer/onion flavor mixed with the grill flavor is PERFECT on those hot summer days!!

Tomato and Basil Quiche

AMAZING! I am usually one to make a lot of changes to recipes. This one, I only made a few minor changes, but they weren't even necessary. I didn' peel the tomatoes & I added about 10 chopped sun dried tomatoes too. Otherwise, I made as is and myself and my boyfriend couldn't get enough! If I had fresh basil, that would probably be a good change too! Easy and delish!

Quick Brownbag Burritos

EASY AND DELISH! Two of my favorite words when cooking! I threw in a can of corn to stretch the recipe a little, otherwise I followed the recipe! We ate them warm with some shredded cheese and sour cream. My boyfriend ate them cold for lunch the next day and said they were great that way too! Thanks for the recipe! I will make this one again!

Pizza Pasta

Very good with a few changes! I added another 1/2 jar of speghetti sc (would have been too dry without). I also added 2 heaping tsp of garlic, and a tsp of italian seasoning. It would be okay without these, but I think they added a lot of flavor. Otherwise, the recipe was really good, easy, and quick! Thanks!!

'Day Before Payday' Kielbasa and Corn Hash

I really did make this the day before payday! =) I used fresh green peppers and an onion. I also added sliced mushrooms. I sauteed the onions and peppers before hand to get them a little softer. I added a little Franks Red Hot too for some heat and flavor. It did take a little longer for the potatoes to be soft (about 20 min). This was great, and easy, and I will make it again!

Ham Bone Soup

This recipe was DELISH! One of my new favorites! I added some carrots and celery and left out the beans because we don't like them very much. I also did 5 cups of water and 5 buillion cubes, and it seemed to be perfect. Not too salty! I added 2 bay leaves and 2 tsp of garlic too. I let this cook from 630am-7pm on low and it was PEFECT! Thanks SO MUCH for the recipe!!

Spinach and Potato Frittata

YUM! I added sliced tomatoes and some dried basil for flavor. I also added more garlic and spinach than called for. As others suggested, I will probably add mushrooms next time too. Very good!!
