Reindeer Snack Mix

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
I usually don't like the "savory" mixes and opt for the sweet ones, but this was really good! The flavor was perfect. I baked exactly as the recipe states and the mix wasn't quite crispy which almost gave it a little stale texture. Maybe upping the cook time a little would help more next time.

Classy Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2009
The chicken was pretty good and the sauce was great. You couldn't taste the dill at all and the zucchini got very soggy well before the cook time was up. I decided to skip the flour to cut carbs for South Beach. I can't imagine needing the flour for this recipe.

Easy Herb Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
YUM! I used the olive oil and herbs on a chicken. After roasting for about 2.5 hours, the chicken was the most tender, moist, and delicious chicken we have ever had. SO good! Will be using this many times!

Easy Mexican Casserole

YUM! I have passed this recipe around to everyone I know and everyone loves it! It is a very quick go to recipe! I have made it probably 5 or 6 times and will continue to make it on those nights where we are craving some quick, yummy Mexican!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
Delish! I made a few changes, but I am not convinced they were needed. I did add a little extra cinnamon, only because we love cinnamon flavor. I also substituted applesauce for oil and added 1 extra cup of zucchini. It ended up being moist and delicious, but it does take at least 55 minutes to bake.

Cream of Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
YUM! But with a few changes. I added about 2 tbsp brown sugar to the recipe and added a little extra cinnamon and some all spice. I blended it lightly so it was still a little "chunky". The cinnamon croutons were a great touch! Perfect fall dinner!

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
I am NOT good with yeast, so I was a little nervous. This ended up being very easy and VERY yummy! As others suggested, I added Italian seasoning to the dough and mixed it in. I will definitely hang on to this recipe!

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
Everyone else loved this, so I am giving it 4 stars. I didn't like the black olives in this though. It added weird flavor. I think if you left the olives out, this would be a winner!

Sausage and Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
YUM!!! So nice and easy to make the night before! I used 8 eggs to fill the pan more and an extra 1/2 c milk. I waited to add the cheese until right before it went in the over and then just sprinkled the cheese over the top. Everyone loved it!!

Spinach and Potato Frittata

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
YUM! I added sliced tomatoes and some dried basil for flavor. I also added more garlic and spinach than called for. As others suggested, I will probably add mushrooms next time too. Very good!!

Summer's Best Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
This salad was refreshing and healthy, but nothing too spectacular. I got all the veggies at the farmers market, so they had a lot of flavor, but I think you need more seasoning than the recipe calls for. I also added cucumber for a little more depth.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

This definitely lives up to its name! It was DELICIOUS!! Everyone gave it 2 big thumbs up! I added about 1 tbsp of minced garlic because we like things really garlicy, and it turned out great! I marinated over night, and the flavor was phenomenal!!

Pistachio Cake II

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
This was good and refreshing, but it dried out very quickly. I don't know if the soda had something to do with that or not, but if you don't eat it all the first day, it isn't very good. I also just used whipped cream mixed with pistachio pudding for the frosting, and it was pretty good.

Barbeque Pork Two Ways

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
YUM! I cooked the recipe as written, and then after it was done, removed a little of the liquid and added BBQ. It turned out great! I didn't even have to shred the meat! I just mixed it and it fell apart. This is a great one for picnics and get togethers!

Cheesy Acorn Squash

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
WOW! Not in a million years would I put these ingredients together, but I am glad I found this recipe and did! The sweet squash and savory ingredients blended perfectly! Others said they cut down on the filling, but I filled with what I could, then after baking, scooped the squash onto the plate and topped with the remaining filling. I followed the recipe to a T and this is a new favorite I am sure I will make many time this fall!!!

Breakfast Crisp

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2009
The recipe as is isn't very good. It was good with some butter spread over the top right out of the oven, but as soon as it cooled, it was crumbly and flavorless. It would be good with some apple pie filling and ice cream on top and served as a dessert rather than the way intended.
