Yum! So good! I used whole wheat pasty flour, and added an extra 2T, and these turned out nice and fluffy. I also used a peach, finely diced, in place of the strawberries. The result was a bit sweet - I might not put any sugar in next time. I think these will taste good warm with a smear of cream cheese.

I just made this as written, and it really is sooo good! Don't omit the yogurt (or sour cream) - this contrast between the sweet/spicy soup and the tangy yogurt is wonderful.

I made this for Christmas Eve. It was so easy, and beautiful as well! I didn't have a springform pan, so I just made it in a regular cake pan, greased with butter, and it didn't stick. Sprinkled with confectioner's sugar, piped on some holly, and served with a raspberry sauce from this site, a coffee sauce from Epicurious, and fresh whipped cream flavored with almond extract. I just used the Baker's bittersweet chocolate - not the best chocolate, but it's what my grocery store had, and the cake was still wonderful!
