OMG No way did I believe I would actually LOVE this. Maybe a faint I can tolerate it. But it was really really good, and I hate tofu!

Chili Verde Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2009
This was too tomatoe-y to really be a chili verde. It also didn't have enough spice for my taste. If I make it again I'd decrease tomatoes and increase jalepenos.

Easy Slow Cooker Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2009
Nice and tangy. Next time I'll cut down on the cooking time since these fell off the bone. Not how I generally eat my wings. ;)

The longer you let it cook the more tender it becomes.

Carnitas Filling

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2009
We really liked this alot. Added salsa verde and black beans to the meat and ate it over rice. VERY yum! I also used the broth as a soup base as it is very flavorful!

Slow Cooker Thai Pork with Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2009
I love this recipe, but for me it needed a lot of tweaking - first of all, I'm a fan of a little heat, and there was not enough red pepper flakes to deliver that. So increase the pepper by a lot. I probably ended up using about 2 tablespoons. More peanut butter - I wanted a sweeter, thicker sauce. Other than that, wow! awesome!

The only thing I did different was toss some garlic and chopped onion in the rootbeer to cook. drained and then put bbq sauce in for another 30 minutes.

Seafood Lasagna I

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2008
Okay I really liked the concept of seafood lasagna, but I tweaked this recipe a LOT so I couldn't give it a 5 without the caveat that I tweaked, so your mileage may vary. Instead of 5 cups of mozzarella, I subbed in 1 C of ricotta, and 1 C of fat free cottage cheese. I mixed that and an egg in with the shrimp and crab and used that as my filling. I added garlic salt to the sauce - I should have added more, but I like a lot of garlic. I was only able to fit the bottom layer, and 2 more layers of noodles in my pan, since apparently I like my inside layers pretty thick. If I make this again, I'll double the recipe for the inside and sauce, and make two, one for now and one for the freezer!

Chicken and Red Wine Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2008
Totally awesome. I too halfed the brown sugar, but I also did something a little different when the chicken was done. I removed the chicken from the pan, added more wine and more sugar, and a little flour to make a glaze. yummmmmm.

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2008
This really is a great recipe, if you remember that your mileage may vary. I chose to add flour to make it thicker, and next time I will definitely use more bacon, that's a personal preference. I will also use more garlic. I think I say that about every recipe I review though!

Camper's Breakfast Hash

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2008
We left out the peppers as I'm not a big pepper fan, and since I didn't buy a foil bag beforehand, just cooked it over the stove. Everyone loved it!

Chicken Tortellini Soup With Zucchini and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
I really like this, however I started with just a huge can of chicken broth as I didn't have time to make the soup base. I had to add more seasonings, but that was to be expected. Next time, I will try the recipe exactly as was intended, but I really like this!
