Perfect and easy! The recipe is very clearly written and works like a charm. I didn't want to get out the piping bag so I just made thin little pancake shapes and they fried up wonderfully. If you do this, make sure they are thin or the middles don't cook through (they were tasty anyway and there's nothing in them that makes the raw dough dangerous). People who had trouble with them browning too quickly: your oil is too hot. It's not the recipe's fault.

Pain de Campagne - Country French Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2013
The recipe turned out very nicely. The instructions though left me guessing in a few places, particularly the part about putting flour on a towel and making seams in the bread. But, what I got in the end was quite tasty! Also, I would add the salt earlier next time. In spite of kneading quite a bit, I ended up with some salty spots.

English Muffins

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2009
So good! It was pretty dry the day I made mine and I only used about 5 1/2 cups of flour. I probably should have tried to get more in because they deflated a little when I picked them up to put them in the pan. But they were still delicious. One important note: don't toss out the scraps when you're done cutting out the rounds. Cook them up first and eat them as snacks while you cook up the big ones. :)

Raspberry Pie II

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2009
This was so simple yet delicious! I will definitely make this again. The brown sugar in this was really good. I made it with frozen berries (raspberries and blackberries) and took the advice of using 3 tbs of corn starch, which worked out well. I would put in about 3 cups of berries though because they settled as the cooked and I ended up with a half-full pie. It also took a little longer to bake because it started out cold.
