To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2012
These muffins were very easy to make and delicious! There are as good or better as a bakery. Because of the topping they tasted like a cross between a coffee cake and blueberry muffin. I don't have a jumbo muffin tin so I just used a regular muffin pan & baked them for about 15 minutes.

Texas Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
Very good but couldn't taste the jalapeno. I used the amount called for so next time I'll add more to give it a kick. Other than that, I would give it a 5! I did add about 1/4 cup of diced red bell pepper - just because I had some on hand. It added nice color & flavor. I had to laugh at myself because I was disappointed in the small amount in the pot. After it was done I realized the reciped was for 2 people. Should check that! Way too much work for only 2 serving with all the chopping and cutting corn off the cob. I'll make a large pot because I think it would be just as good reheated.

Apple Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2011
Served this at a family cookout & everyone loved it. I give it 4 only because I found it necessary to make a few changes. I used 2 large apples and it seemed to be plenty. I used craisins because I don't like raisins. Otherwise followed the recipe and it was a hit!

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
This is my new favorite chicken tortilla soup recipe! I didn't have a can of tomatoes so I subbed an equal amount of salsa with great results. I also added a drained, rinsed can of black beans-just because I love them. I also didn't have time to slow-cook, so made it on the stove-top.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Turkey Breast

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
This was very good and so easy. The flavors are not everwhelming at all and the turkey stayed moist by using the slowcooker.
