Summer Sausage

this is great stuff, but i have questions for TGFROST. Looking at other recipies on internet, some say to wrap in foil and poke holes in bottom, will this keep the out side from getting to hard and chewy? And I found a recipie just like this except smaller portion and they added water, what is the difference? I am going to try with venison and turkey next. Thanks Lisa

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

This recipie is awsome! I did do half sugar and half brown sugar. And i got 38 cookies. So you need more than 18 kisses. Thanks for a great recipie. Lisa

Egg Noodles

These are awsome noodles. Ive always used just salt and eggs, water. Never no butter or milk. From now on I will be making these. Always let your dough sit for the 10 minutes. Thanks for something new! Lisa Update: Just made again, this time I added 1/4 tsp. of thyme, pepper, parsley, and garlic, to the dough. Wonderful!

Cheese Souffles

Dennis this is a great recipie. Thank you for sharing. This is my first souffle. I did add green onions and garlic. I really think this would be good with chopped ham and brocoli. What else could you serve with this? Any ideas? Thanks Lisa

Lemon Lover's Pound Cake

Your gonna love it, I do! Great recipie. The only thing I change was used 2 1/4 cup sugar and more lemon stuff. I also separated eggs and beat egg whites and folded in last. Also made a lemon glaze. (Powder sugar and lemon juice, lemon zest.) Poured over cake as soon as it came out of the oven. This is also great using orange. With orange, i used food coloring for color. Made muffins for Sunday school. Thanks for the recipie. lisa

Peppy's Pita Bread

I followed the recipie to a T. I used my kitchen aide mixture. It rised beautifull. I just made 8 balls and then rolled out. Let rest for 30 minutes. I tried both the oven an skillet method. Mine did not poof like the picture, but were still fantastic for my gyro's and greek dip. I will keep trying for the poof. Great recipie. Thanks lisa

GrannyLin's Barbeque Ribs Made Easy

good idea! this is what i did: cut up rib, serving size pieces. then salt and pepper and little garlic. boiled in a big pot of water for 30 minutes. then drained off all that foam and greased and rinsed pan. then to pan i put a 24 oz. can of beer and one bottle of kraft barbeque sauce 1 bay leaf and brought to a boil and add ribs back in and put a lid on and simmered for 1hour. removed ribs again to pot a added 1 clove minced garlic, 1/4 cup brown sugar (more for tastebuds), 1/2 cup more barbeque sauce, and 1 T of cornstarch and brought to a boil until thicken. i perpare a baking sheet with tin foil and cooking spray. basted ribs and put under broiler to camelize both sides while basting. perfect ribs. can't wait to put them on the grill when camping! thanks.

Just fixed this for dinner. since i'm the only one that likes fish , i changed the serving for one. this is great stuff? i loved it. i didn't change a thing. might add garlic next time. thanks lisa

Just had this for dinner! And it does taste like lobster. Very good. The only problem I had was my cod broke into pieces getting it out of the water. I'll work on that. Will make this many more times. thanks

Sweet and Sour Smoked Sausage

This is a great dish. Somethinng different for a change. I just used 1-lb. sausage, and med. size peppers. I did use more sweet and sour sauce, because I put it over rice and wanted extra sauce. Also had some left over pineapple so i through it in too! Thanks for the recipie, a keeper!

Cake in a Jar

I tried these out for a test. They were great? Going to make more for 4th of july. putting a stars and striped napkin tied with a wired stars ribbon, inserted with a fork. I also did what another lady did, and squeeze in icing in middle of cake, (like twinkie type,) before putting on lid. Decorating the jar is the fun part! Going to have a garden party, and I am serving everything in mason jars! Unless possibilities. Thanks for the idea!

Cookie Balls

these are awsome. i had no trouble at all. i mixed everything in kitchen aid mixer. used two teaspoons to form balls. i got 53 of them. put on a greased cookie sheet. when done i put into freezer about 20 minutes, while chocolate was melting. i dipped a few at a time, so don't take all out of freezer at once. very rich, and very good. thank lisa
