Baking Mix Blackberry Cobbler

Reviewed: May 22, 2012
Made exactly as written. It's a very good cobbler, next time I think i will use less blackberries, it did not seem to need 2 cups with the amount of baking mix.

Orzo Tomato Artichoke Salad

Reviewed: May 20, 2012
I did change this a bit. Added some seasoning to the dressing, just needed a little more flavor. Used a mixture of olives, but overall it was good. Tthe orzo, olive, artichoke and tomato mixture is a winner.

Oven Fries

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2012
This recipe is the closest I haved come to crispy fries in the oven, I do think the sugar makes all the difference. I did lower the oven temp to 425, ready in 30 mins. Also very tasty with just a bit of old bay.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
These turned out good. I did not change the sauce but I did change the method I used to prepare them. First I dredged wings in just a bit of flour and refrigerated for 1 hour. I baked the wings for about 20 mins, and then brushed sauce on the chicken baked 20 min. turned and repeated. They really caramelized with this method. Make sure to use foil and spray with cooking spray.

Easy Bacon and Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2012
This worked for me. Quiche is all about the right texture after it is baked. Only changed the bacon bits to real bacon. Otherwise bake time was perfect with covering the edges of the crust for about 1/2 the time.

Scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2012
This turned out pretty good with using some changes in most of the reviews I read. I did increase the sugar to 1/2 cup, omitted the cream of tartar, also had no heavy cream so I used 1/2 n 1/2. This is not the recipe for someone who wants cake with there strawberries and cream, but I did enjoy it.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2012
This was my first attempt at anything curry, used mild powder and also just added some penzey's tandoori seasoning which is a nice combo of spices including ginger. The only problem was I needed to cook at medium for about 1 hour to get sauce to a good consistency. Kept tomatoes, tomato sauce, lite coconut milk, sugar the same. Tasted good with jasmine rice and cauliflower. Will def. make again.

This is a great dessert for so little work. Used less fat cream cheese and lite whipped topping. Made this after reading Pam-3boys mama formerly faceless blog. Thanks to submitter and Pam.

Perfect St. Patrick's Day Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
These are pretty good. Moist but there are several other chocolate cake recipes that are so much better. Did not use choc. glaze, made 22 cupcakes.

Ultimate Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
Made exactly as written and they were good. Next time will decrease the garlic in the mayo, also add mushrooms. I would give these a 4, but family really liked them.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2012
We really like this. I added diced carrots. Just made Chef John's version and that is slightly easier, just as quick with a bit more creamy taste without all the milk. Givivng the potatoes a bit of a mashing in the soup makes all the difference. I do think yukon or russets are best, I have made with white potatoes, just not as good.

Asian Coconut Rice

This is def. a very subtle coconut flavor. I used my rice cooker but kept all measurements the same. Good for a change of pace. Served with baked teryiaki chicken.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2012
Love this version. Even though blue cheese is the traditional dressing for anything buffalo chicken, I like this better. It's not quite as rich, easier to eat. Also, cannot eat canned meat. Have made with chicken I keep shredded in the freezer or used perdue short cuts.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
1/2 the recipe and made in 8x8 pan. Used 1 crescent recipe sheet and just cut in 1/2. Decreased the sugar and butter topping just a bit. Also baked bottom about 5 mins. Sweet but very good.

INCREDIBLE Raspberry Cheesecake Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2011
These cookies are so good. Nice soft cake like cookie. I did not order the raspberry chips. I used the cherry chips some members have mentioned on the buzz, available at target. I might just have to send for the raspberry chips now. Thanks for a great recipe miss7up.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
I love starbucks birthday cake pop. The closet thing I have found is making the cold oven pound cake from this site with 1 cup of vanilla buttercream frosting mixed in, then dipped in white choc. melts. Better than paying 1.50 for 1.
