Garlic Spinach

This is so simple but so good, used lemon pepper blend instead of salt and lemon, based on what I had on hand. Want to try with balsamic instead of lemon juice as mentioned.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

These cookies are fantastic, a very close second to my all time favorite cc cookie, chewy jumbo chocolate chip cookies from this site. These cookies are fairly soft, chewy but not flat. I got 20 1/4 cup cookies from this recipe, baked 17 mins, perfect. I did refrigerate the dough for about 1/2 hr prior to baking, it just seems to prevent the cookies from being flat.

Buffalo Chicken Fingers

Really good chicken fingers. I couldn't resist someone's suggestion of brushing with a mixture of butter and frank's hot sauce mixture, popped back in the oven for about 5 mins.

Apple Cinnamon White Cake

This is good, but not 5 stars. I think I will keep on making different apple muffin/cake recipes during Apple season, Bake time was off a bit. It was hard to tell without actually touching the cake, I left it in 48 mins. No undercooked spots in the middle.Nothing stood out to me not the texture, nor the flavor.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

First time making a chicken chili. This is really good, made a few changes based on review and families dislike of a lot of heat. I used 2 cans of green chili's and just a dash of cayenne, omitted the jalapeño. I added 1 teaspoon of flour when I sautéed onions and garlic. I smashed 1 of the cans of beans to help with thickness, someone did mention it was a bit to thin for chili. It worked out fine, was the perfect texture and thickness. Really good flavor, will def. make again.

Monday Night Mac and Cheese

The flavor in this was lacking even after adding extra mustard, garlic powder and a bit of paprika. I did use a good sharp cheddar , ended up adding a bit of Parmesan .

Mashed Potatoes with Horseradish

Followed some suggestions to add some cream cheese, added about 3 oz and just 2 tbs. of sour cream. I think next time I will add a bit more horseradish, because we really like it. Used red potatoes with skin on and just smashed it all together in 1 pan after draining potatoes. Will make again.

Stephanie's Freezer Spaghetti Sauce

I needed to do something with the many tomatoes before leaving for vacation. Made this on a whim, so glad I did. It's a perfect, easy way to use the tomatoes that all ripen at the same time. I had Roma's , heirloom and even cherry tomatoes. Try this you won't be sorry.

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

These stuck to my mini pans worse than any cake or bread that I can recall. I used extra flour to make sure pans were coated. Made exactly as specified, mine were too dense. I usually don't have much trouble with breads, cake etc.i probably will not make these again.

I used a tube of breadsticks and twisted 2 together, baked per directions on package. I used the topping per the recipe. They were great! 1/2 the recipe was perfect for 1 package of breadsticks.

Chicken Souvlaki with Tzatziki Sauce

This chicken was very good, it was moist and flavorful, also made the sauce with just a bit of fresh dill. We had this with Naan and a tomato, olive salad. Thanks for this great recipe. I marinated the chicken for about 4 hrs, I would not go any longer than that.

Banana Blueberry Muffins with Lavender

These were moist, and the texture was good. I like lavender, blueberries and bananas, but the flavors combined were just a bit off. I think it's just a personal preference, nothing wrong with the recipe.

Tomato Zucchini Casserole

Very nice side dish, I used only 2 Roma tomatoes deseeded and drained quite a bit of liquid. I used a combination of cheeses using a yummy shredded fontina cheese, Parmesan and a bit of cheddar. There was a bit of excess liquid but did not affect the overall dish.

Oven Baked Zucchini Fries

These fries are really good. I think the butter helped with the slight crispiness and baking of the zucchini. I did make the zucchini chips from this site with an egg, they did not brown as well as these.I did turn them once 1/2 way through baking.

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce

This sauce is fantastic, when I review recipes I try not to stray too far from the original. I did use 2 tbs. rendered bacon grease, for that smoky flavor, in place of liquid smoke, I just do not like that stuff. Also cut the salt in 1/2. For the people that thought it had a strong bourbon flavor, maybe the alcohol did not cook off, because there was just a very mild hint of bourbon flavor. I will make this all summer.
