Creamy Vegetable Medley

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
This was an easy side dish to prepare and it was tasty. It wasn't out-of-this-world but it was good. I don't even think you need to cook the frozen veggies...just toss them with the other ingredients and throw in the oven. The crunchy french-fried onions on top were the best part!

Thai Ground Chicken Basil

Reviewed: May 10, 2008
A tasty dinner you can have on the table in a jiffy! As per other reviews, I used a sweet chili sauce and some hot sauce in place of the chili peppers. I also added a handful of bean sprouts and some green onion for added crunch and color. My husband and I enjoyed this very much over steamed rice.

Chow Mein Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
This was a quick and delicious weekday meal...true comfort food that warmed and filled our bellies! I added some salt and pepper and garlic powder to the ground beedf while browning. I also threw in some beansprouts fro extra crunch. I used about a cup of noodles which I stirred right into the casserole and saved a handful to sprinkle on top. I was very satisfied with the finished casserole and it tasted even better the next day as leftovers for lunch! Will definitely make this again!

Broccoli Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
YUMMY! Made this tonight and was thoroughly impressed as was my husband. I mixed together one can of cream of mushroom and one can of cream of chicken and 3/4 can of milk and a sprinkle of salt, pepper and curry powder. I sauteed the chicken with chopped onions, mushrooms, frozen broccoli florets and garlic in a skillet with olive oil, salt and pepper, oregano and basil. I cooked the Stove Top according to the box instructions. Then I mixed everything in a large bowl...soups, milk, chicken mixture, cheese, and stuffing. I sprinkled panko breadcrumbs and more cheese on top. It was a warm and comforting meal that I will make again and again!

Dad's New Zealand Mince Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2008
Super tasty but whoa, too much pepper! I only used 1 tablespoon and that was still too spicy for my family. I served it like chili...topped with sour cream, shredded cheese and some cilantro. I am going to use the leftovers for tacos.

Pork Chops to Live For

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2008
Took others' advice and added dry onion soup mix, some beef broth, and used one can cream of mushroom and one can cream of chicken. The pork chops were fork tender and very tasty. Good comfort food on a cold winter night. I shredded the left over meat and added some broccoli florets and egg noodles to the gravy. It made a yummy pasta dish for lunch the next day.

Mmmm...tasted like my friend's mom's pancit...she moved back to the Phillippines so I had to learn how to make it myself. The title doesn't lie...it was quick and easy and most importantly, DELICIOUS!

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2008
My first attempt at making macaroni salad and I am very happy with this recipe! Looks fantastic and tastes even better. I added 1/4 cup sugar and that was plenty. I also took a previous posters advise and only added enough dressing to coat pasta/veggies. Thanks for the FANTABULOUS recipe!

Fantastic, hearty, and delicious! Came together very quickly for a busy weekday meal. I doubled the gravy and used vanilla in place of the sherry...tasty. Will make this regularly.

Asian Tuna Patties

These tasted FANTASTIC! They were very flavourful. I added an extra egg and the consistency was perfect. Husband and toddler gobbled them up. The cornmeal added good texture to the patties. Will make again for sure!

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2007
Easy to make, looked fantastic and tasted as good as it looked! I don't usually like vinegar but this was very tasty...just a little zing but not overly tart. I added a pinch of sugar to cut some of the tartness but probably didn't need to. I used 1/4c balsamic vinegar and 1 cup of broth, a heap of garlic and and a heap of mushrooms...perfect amount of sauce for 3 large chicken breasts=)

Mmmm...lovely on a cold winter night. Used 2 cans of Cream of Chicken soup and only 1 of chicken broth. Upped the chili powder to 1 tbsp. Nice and thick and flavourful.

Ground Beef Curly Noodle

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2007
Wow...I was very skeptical about this one but after reading all the great reviews I gave it a shot and...it was FANTASTIC and FLAVORFUL! I added some garlic and onions to the beef as well as some salt and pepper, used 2 packs of Oriental Mr. Noodles with their seasoning packets, and added a bit of chicken broth as the mixture looked too dry to cook the noodles. Oh and I also threw in a pinch or two of sugar. I think I might cook the noodles separately next time and then throw them in once they are softened...might be easier and quicker. I'd give this 5 stars if only it looked prettier. Tasted great and husband enjoyed several servings of it!

Red and Green Christmas Jalapeno Jelly

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2007
Never made jelly before but this wasn't very difficult at all and the results are fabulous. Chopping the peppers up super fine was a little labor intensive but well worth it in the end. I yielded 7- 250ml jars and used the flip trick...all of my jars sealed and look FANTABULOUS! Can't wait to taste it tomorrow! I will be making another batch so I have lots to give away this holiday season=)
