Whole Wheat Brownie Mix

Reviewed: May 28, 2010
WOWEEE!!! These were amazing! I made some tiny changes, but they cured me of my chocolate craving wonderfully! I only used 3 cups of sugar (perfect) I used white wheat (just as much fiber and nutrition but better taste) for two of the cups and whole wheat for the other. I used 3/4 cup butter instead of shortening. Also I added 1 TBS of canola oil to the wet ingredients. No nuts this time, but I will try that sometime. I baked for 26 mins and wala! Delicious! I recomend making the 64 serving and storing in the frig. Quick and easy!

Oat Applesauce Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2010
Made these delicious muffins dairy and sugar free! I used 1/2 c. honey instead of brown sugar, perfect sweetness! I used white whole wheat flour(just as healthy and same fiber as whole wheat). I added 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp allspice, and 2 tsps cinnamon to the dry ingredience! Instead of buttermilk I used almond milk with one TBS lemon juice in it(let sit for a couple minutes). The oats and milk sat for only a few minutes and I zapped them in the microwave for 20 secs to make room tep. Mixed all together and baked for only 20 mins. (30 mins must be way too long?) and WALA!!! Note: for company, I might add a ripe mashed banana or more honey for a sweeter taste!

Applesauce Wheat Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2010
Great basic muffin recipe that needed a little something. I, too, found this recipe dry. I added a 1/2 c honey 1/2 more applesauce and cinnamon for flavor. I also added about a cup of frozen blueberries. All that, and not over baking made them delicious and moist! Not sure they would have turned out and I know they wouldn't have been sweet enough for my buds. :O)

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2010
ABSOLUTELY marvelous! I halved the recipe and changed it up a bit to meet our health needs...1/2c pure cane sugar and 1/4c agave nectar. Whole white wheat flour also muesli for the oatmeal. I added 1/4 cup walnuts for some crunch and butter instead of shortening. Fabulous!

Best Egg Rolls

I'm giving these babies 5 stars because they are a perfect and an easy staple recipe. I did add a lot more ginger and garlic powder; organic tamari sauce(like soy sauce) some salt, pepper, and onion powder. Nice thing is you can season to taste because you fully cooked the meat. Brilliant! I am going to freeze some wrapped up ready to fry. Try it with my sweet and sour recipe. Jelly and salsa!

AMAZING...Here are my changes... Organic whole milk 1/2 cup butter in place of veg. oil 4 1/2 cups whole white wheat flour (same fiber as w.w.) I added 1/2 cup evaporated cane juice to milk and butter mixture (I zapped in microwave instead of stove) flowered counter a tad more than "lightly" when I kneaded Lowered oven temp to 375 (20 mins was perfect)

Fudgy Brownie Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2011
Wow!! I just made these delightful little cookies. So rich and chewy, yum. I did changed out the flour for whole white wheat and used agave nectar instead of corn syrup. I used dark chocolate cocoa powder and dark chocolate chips...so as you can imagine they are DEVINE! I think the key is to have soft butter but not melted. Bravo to the chef! Thanks for posting this!

Quick Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2011
Thanks to all the excellent review(ers), this was a terrific recipe!!! Definitely needed that extra 1/4 c milk (I used almond milk for all the milk) I added almost double the sugar in the cake (almost 3/4 c) and poured the melted butter on top of the strusle topping. Using a butter knifre to swirl it in. I don't recommend salt at all it you are using salted butter. 20 minutes was perfect in my oven. I used white whole wheat flour for great fiber without compromising taste! (you gotta check that out. : ) Thank you for the recipe, it will be used many many times to come!

These tasted terrific, but I wish I would had read the reviews first to know to poke them with a fork when they come out and pop them back in with the door open for 10-15 mins so they weren't soggy and flat. : (
