Blue Cheese Fried Potatoes

Reviewed: May 17, 2010
Amazing! Have made this 2x now. The second time I microwaved the sliced potatoes for 3 min's before browning them --- just took too long last time and potatoes were still a bit crunchy. Will for sure make this again! Thinking about trying it w/ sweet potatoes and gorgonzola cheese for the next go around! Great dish!!!!

Ham and Corn Beignets

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
So so delicious!!!! I followed the recipe exactly but used Canadian bacon instead of ham. Everyone raved about them! I made a Cajun dipping sauce that was the perfect compliment.

Easy and delicious. Accidently put the whole packet of Ranch in, but was a-ok. Topped the sandwhiches w/ blue cheese dressing. Perfect.

Yum! So good - also subbed blue cheese instead of ranch (husband doesn't like ranch) and baked in oven. So so so good. Will for sure make again!

Red Bliss Potato Salad with Gorgonzola and Walnuts

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
Really really delicious. I did leave out the apples - not a fan of fruit and food - but thought the flavor was yummy. Did need more salt than I put on. Next time I will salt the potatoes while they're still hot - I think that will help. But, there will be a next time!!!!

SO EASY and SO DELICIOUS! I followed others advice --- 3 cups of fruit, only 3 tblspns of butter and topped mine w/ 1/4 cup of brown sugar and cinnamon before baking. Delicious!

Soooo good! I followed the advice of others and also added 1/2 tspn of vanilla and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. I also dusted w/ cinnamon and sugar on top before baking. So good - even the next morning they were moist and delicious. Loved 'em!!!!

Frosty Strawberry Squares

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
This is delicious! Like another reviewer, I too will chop my strawberries next time instead of slicing them. Will just make it easier to eat and serve since they do harden. Really delicious!!!!

Mexican Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
This is delish! So refreshing and a perfect side to BBQing Carne Asada tacos outside! Like other reviewers, I also added 2 tblspns of lime juice, used fresh cilantro and 2 ears of corn fresh off the cob. I made the salad the night before to allow the flavors to combine - and right before serving I added one diced avocado. Will make again and again! (My husband suggested adding shrimp, crab and squid, taking out the cucumber for a homemade Ceviche. Fantastic idea if you're a Ceviche fan!!!!)

Pork Chops to Live For

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
My husband drowned his dinner in hot sauce. I did use 2% milk and vegetable oil instead of shortening, but, no flavor no flavor no flavor. Can't understand why this was rated so high.

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2009
Very good - but very sweet. I followed another reviewers recipe and put in 6 red potatoes, 1/2 head of wedged cabbage and 4 carrots at the bottom of the crock pot w/ the beef on top. Added 1 can of Guinness and 1 cup of water w/ 1 cup of brown sugar. Next time I'll half the sugar --- too sweet for our taste. As leftovers the next day, sliced the beef and put on Kaiser Rolls w/ packaged cole slaw mixed w/ Thousand Island dressing - SUPER TASTY!!!
