About this Cook
I'm 19 years old and my mom and grandma are WONDERFUL cooks...I know how to and everything I make is good..I just don't know WHAT to cook.
My favorite things to cook
chicken quesadillas smothered pork chops anything chicken gooey butter cake
My favorite family cooking traditions
pumpkin rolls chicken n noodles
My cooking triumphs
gooey butter cake is the BEST!! if you haven't tried it you should.... I got the recipe from a lady that worked in my HS's admin. office and i baked it and it turned out great..then my grandma tried it and it was horrible, she baked it too long!
My cooking tragedies
It's not really a tragedy..but at this past Thanksgiving (2007) I made two gooey butter cakes, one for my parents and one to take to my boyfriends grandmas house. I hadn't made them in a while and forgot how much the cake rises. Anyway, I put one of the cakes in a pan that was too small and it ended up sticking about 1/2" above the pan. Luckily it didn't spill over. It still tasted good, I guess that's all that matters...lol

Tequila Sunrise
I love these, they are great. To make the grenadine hurry up a little bit, I pour mine through a straw.

Buckeyes I
My friend made these for us yesterday and they were AMAZING!!! I've never had them before. Just a little note - instead of using creamy peanut butter, she used crunchy peanut butter. She also added some rice crispies to give them a little crunch!

Chicken Parmigiana
When I make it, I don't bread the chicken. I just season it with garlic and onion powder, salt and pepper and cook it in a pan on the stove (no oil, no butter). I season the chicken and spray the pan with no stick spray and let it cook on low until it's done. Before I serve it, I put a slice of Swiss cheese on top of the chicken, which I put on top of spaghetti, and put some sauce on top and sprinkle with Parmesean cheese.
