Made this last night to go with my Thai Grilled Chicken and wow great dish. I didnt have any udon noodles so I had rice noodles instead. I also used agave cause that was all I had and no honey. Delish!!!!! Saving into my recipe box for sure!

Orange Pecan French Toast

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2011
I loved the idea of a "different" french toast. It was simple to make and the idea was right on, but IMO it was a bit to sweet for me and my family and I really would have liked a bit more of the orange taste to come out...it was just a squeak of a taste here and there. Overall I liked, but with a few mods.

Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
Made this just the other night and wanted to make sure I rated this. (I tend to forget a lot with the recipes on here that I make) But I loved the simpleness of this. My kids looked at the sauce and were like, "eww that looks gross", for whatever reason IDK, but once I told them they had to try it they actually scarfed it all up. At the end of dinner they actually ate every piece of noodle and asked if I would make it again. I was impressed for such an easy (and cheap) dinner. I have to admit I did stear away from 1 thing that the recipe calls for which I usually dont do, but I felt that after the holidays I like most Americans packed on 5 lbs and need to cut a few calories from my diet. So instead of the heavy cream I opted for milk saving myself about 200 calories overall in the dish. I like to think a pinch here and a pinch there goes a long way!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
Fun and Easy Breezy! My son thought this was 2-thumps-up. He tries to impress me with his mad eating skills (he's 8) of how much "spicyness" he can consume. Yow-za! It was spicy but you can really make this as spicy or unspicy as you like. I liked the one readers advice about making it was pizza sause. I told my dauter (who does not like spicy food and thinks black pepper is spicy...how awful is that) we'd make it with pizza sauce. Her eyes lit up! Honestly, you could do this with almost any sause base. But I loved this! I used the blue cheese and oh so yum! This is deffinately a keeper IMO!

Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2011
Thought this was Delish!!! I made it to the "T". I mean how else can you rate it otherwise. I didnt have any problem with to much sauce. I cooked it for 10 hours on low in my crock and it had what I thought was perfect amount of sauce. Yes, on the thin side, but once you started shreading the beef it started to blend in. My daughter (7) who does not like to much beef (we made this for my son who does

Chili I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
This is a great recipie! Thanks for the ideas! Chili is just that...an all American great dinner that no-where else in world do they "get it". The merging of beans and meat with different spices will crack even the most difficult of smiles. I followed to the T. Great, yummie and awesome! You decide where to go from there...kick up the heat or sweaten up the pot!

Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
Everything you want in a hot cocoa mix! Thick, sweet, chocolatie and good! I didnt think it was to sweet but I guess that is all depending on personal preference. It is a recipie and it is based on your personal taste. Arn't they all! I had my kids make this for their teachers for Christmas presents (they are 7 & 8) and they have a GREAT time making it. Fun for all and yummie for our tummies. Make with milk. Ohhh so much better!

Big and Small kids loved these. I thought they were awesome too. I made the wells and then i cooked my chocolate after all the cookies were done...this helped me fill all them up at one time. I filled some chocolate into a measuring cup and then spooned the chocolate in then went back as I ran low. No drips, pretty and omg yummie

Burek

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
I too wanted to try something different and am very glad i did. This was definately filling, but beware it will stink up your kitchen with all that onion lol. The crispyness of the filo and the spices...thought it was awesome, had it with a salad and dipped them in a sourcream/vinegar (light). Awesome, even my kids (6 & 7) liked it. I will be making again:) TYSM for the recipe.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars

I followed to the T. I have to say good texture, and creamyness to the pumpkin, but they lacked a little something. Not sure what. I liked but not my favorite bar.

Chicken Enchilada Casserole I

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
I made this last night for dinner. Had good flavor, but based on other reviews I did leave out the chicken stock. I thought it was good, but a little too saucy for me, this is however being very picky on my part. I added cilantro to mine, but kept with the basic version...wanted to see what I felt needed to change after actually making it per the given recipe. Heat was good enought for my 5 & 6 years olds, so it's very kid friendly. I just felt it needed more spices or someting to sop up all those extra juices/cheese.
