Old Time Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2008
This is basically the same recipe I have used for 15+ years. I use dry white wine instead of sherry. Brown the breasts in a little oil first. Dont parboil the broccoli, it cooks in the oven.. Sprinkle more cheese on top to brown. The real dish, no canned soup slop. Serve with glazed carrots, green salad and garlic bread. Yum.

Sour Cream Chicken Paprika

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2008
I have a 100 yr old Hungarian friend who told me how to make this dish. Actually you should use a whole chicken cut up, but to save time and fat I use chicken breasts and canned broth. Use 1 can, 14 oz. add 1 lg chopped tomato and 1 chopped green bell pepper. Dont stir in sour cream until just before serving. Use Hungarian sweet paprika add a little hot paprika for kick if you like. Really good stuff

Scrambled Eggs Done Right

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
I tried it just as directed. I must admit they were pretty good. However, I always use an immersion blender when I make scrambled eggs. My regular eggs turn out this good without the mayo.

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
This is my favorite recipe for this dip also , but I use Leek soup/dip mix instead of vegetable. Doesn't have that dried garden taste.
