Ed Zieba's Famous Family Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2008
This turned out fantastic! I didn't change a thing, except probably add a little more water.... it made a fantastic broth and the meat was so tender and delicious! I ate each bite with a spoonful of broth & a slice of onion. Everyone else loved it as much as I did! Truly an easy and VERY tasty dish!

Philly Steak Sandwich

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2008
Fantastically delicious! I will make this again, many times I'm sure. I doubled everything, as I had 5 friends, and had enough for 6 servings, not 8. Overall, very good. Next time I wanna try provolone cheese though, as that sounds good. :)

Chocolate Pecan Pie III

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
A rich, chocolately, crunchy concoction! If you like to eat a lot, it's impossible with this pie.... each bite is scrumptious! I initially split the pie into 6 pieces, however, my friends and I could only eat half of our pieces, so I re-sliced into (what would have been 12 slices) halves. It's very, very rich, and very good. A+ Thanks for the recipe! -- I made this again, only using 3 eggs (as thats all I had), and 1/3 cup of half-n-half with everything else, and the filling was much tastier as well as being a lot more 'creamy'. I recommend using only 3 eggs and in place, use 1/3 cup of half-n-half of the other egg. It makes the filling much better.

Bachelors Flamin' Hot Mexican Bean Dip

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
I like this recipe, however, I think it would have been better with refried beans or something heavy to make it thicker. Though, overall, it was yummy on the tastebuds! My friends and I ate it with yellow corn tortilla chips.

Luscious Slush Punch

Reviewed: Feb. 29, 2008
One and 1/2 cups of sugar is perfect. I followed the recipe to the "T" (besides the sugar). I spiked it with a cup of Everclear, and it went fast, and went well. A+++ 10 stars if I could! Next weekend, my friend asked me to make it again for his party!

Habanero Hellfire Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2008
First of all, 'OMG AWESOME' Recipe! I followed all of the ingredients exactly, but added a tbsp of garlic salt near the end, as my tastebuds like salt! I will be making this recipe from now on whenever I make chili.... 10 stars! On a side note, I noticed alot of people made their own recipes from this and added reviews about their chili on this recipe... People, you have your OWN recipe! Don't add your review here if its completely different from the original! Type up your OWN recipe on allrecipes.com instead of putting a review on something totally different.... It's like making a review about a BMW, when you drive a Mercedes.... it doesn't make sense!

Beef and Biscuit

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2008
This was a great recipe, however, just by looking at the ingredients, it seems it would be bland. I added 3 times as much garlic salt and 2 times as much chili powder, and it turned out just great. I'm sure it would have been bland with the ingredients listed though, as some people say. It tasted alot like sloppy joes, however, the twist was the biscuits! Great idea there. Besides the spices, I used a jalapeƱo pepper instead of the Chile pepper, and kept everything else the same (well, besides the garlic salt & chili powder). I also cooked the bottom layer for 5 minutes beforehand, as some people warn. I give it four stars, great recipe. Oh btw, this feeds four people as a whole meal, not ten!

Fresh Blueberry Pie I

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
I would give this 6 stars if I could!!!! This recipe makes an absolutely wonderful pie! It was so simple to make, and turned out so great! The filling wasn't runny or too hard, it was perfect. I let it cool for a couple hours before I cut it up, so maybe that made the filling thicker as it sat. Anyway, thanks for the recipe, and I will surely make it again!

Tex-Mex Burger with Cajun Mayo

Delicious! I made the recipe exactly the same and these burgers came out wonderful. They were juicy, a bit spicy, and very flavorful. Good idea on the Cajun seasoning! Thanks!

Steak and Ale Pie with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
The filling turned out fine, however, I should have made my own crust (was too sweet) and not used the thyme. I thought the thyme gave it a weird flavor. If I were to make it again, I'd leave out the thyme and make my own crust. I'd also probably add a few more spices!

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2008
These steaks turned out absolutely fabulous! I had been wanting to make some good steaks lately, so I'm glad I used this recipe for marinating. I marinated them for about 36 hours in a ziploc bag, which works better for me than a pan. I followed the recipe almost the same, however, I pan fried the steaks on medium heat for 30 mins, and used garlic powder instead of onion powder (as I didn't have any onion powder). Thanks for this recipe!

My Kid's Favorite Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
I tried this recipe! It was my first time making pork chops (not a big fan of pork) and it turned out great! I followed the recipe almost exactly, except I used 4 lbs of pork chops and no steak seasoning. I used garlic salt and pepper whilst frying it. The BBQ sauce was a bit too much, but it went VERY well with the onions and the garlic salt & pepper that I fried them first with. Thanks for this recipe! It made me start liking pork!

Honey Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
This recipe was awesome, and I used skinless boneless chicken breasts as some other people did the same thing and it turned out perfect. Just as you said, the honey DID caramelize, and my friend thought I was burning it, but I reassured him that I wasn't. There was hardly any mess (besides my fingers!), as I used a bowl to douse the chicken in honey, and then moved it over to my other bowl with the seasonings and flour. Immediately after that I transferred the chicken to the frying pan, to prevent any problems with dripping (like people have said they had problems with). Just make sure your chicken is DRY before putting the honey and flour mixture on it. The coating stayed on the chicken the whole time while cooking, and I turned it several times while cooking to prevent any burning (yes, honey WILL burn if you keep it on the pan too long, my mom taught me that years ago). I put extra honey on the chicken when it was done, to add a nice gloss as well as a bit more flavor, which was perfect. I didn't offer any dipping sauce, as I also made mashed potatoes & gravy, using the leftover grease for the gravy. I also added a little bit of honey to the gravy, which made it an awesome compliment to the chicken, which was wonderful! I will remember this recipe and definitely make it again someday! Thanks for adding this!
