Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
This came out very well! I made exactly as written, only my roast was smaller (a little over a pound). I still used the same measurements because a little extra seasoning doesn't hurt! I also pierced the roast several times like another reviewer. Since it is just hubby and I, we had some left over. I shredded the leftovers and coated them with my favorite BBQ sauce which made for wonderful BBQ pork sandwiches the next day. So, it also makes an excellent base for BBQ pork!

Baked Maryland Lump Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
Although I was born and raised in MD and still live in the Baltimore area, this recipe was my first attempt at making crab cakes on my own. After reading a few reviews, I chilled the mixture for about 2 hours, then shaped into baseball-sized cakes and baked for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees F. I omitted the baking powder just because I didn't have any. They came out moist with just the right amount of crispness on the outside! My husband rarely comments on a meal, and after his first couple bites he stated "these are pretty good!". To get a comment like that from him, makes a recipe at least 4 stars in my book!

Creamy Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2007
This was a great recipe overall. I did make a couple changes to suit my personal taste: 1) Added a bit of seasoning to the soups to taste (garlic powder, onion powder, and a tiny bit of oregano) 2) With about 10-15 mins of cook time remaining, I topped everything with some crushed Ritz crackers 3)Omitted chives and sour cream (I did not have any on hand). Served over rice with veggies on the side; one of the few times my husband actually came out and said it was good without my having to ask (usually I have to ask him how he liked something and then get a response of "it's alright, I'd eat it again").
