About this Cook
I've been interested in cooking since I was a little girl. I would watch my mom and both grandmas cook and also help them sometimes. I am always looking for new recipes to make and to experiment with. I try not to take it too seriously, this is supposed to be fun!
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking Italian food. Lately I've been trying to perfect my baking skills. I have had a couple of unfortunate incidents in the baking department!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We love to make lots of desserts around Christmas and Easter.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that my husband likes is triumphant enough for me!
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made oatmeal raisin cookies for my husband (his favorite) I completely burnt the bottom of them but the rest was edible (with a slightly burnt taste!). I was real disappointed in myself so he sat there and scraped the burnt part off of EVERY cookie in the batch, then ate them. That's love!!

Red Bell Pepper Coulis
I made this with leeks and sauteed the veggies in some basil flavored olive oil. Then I poured it over some grilled chicken. My husband and I thought it was great. Next time I'll try it with some fish! Thanks!!

Diane's Colcannon
My husband thought this was great! I'm not a huge fan of mashed potatoes or cabbage but this was pretty good!
