Prime Rib

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
Excellent ideas in this recipe. I cooked the roast 5 min per pound at 500 and then left it sit for 90 min in the oven. I didn't have any mustard, so rather than the seasonings, I used Montreal Steak seasoning. I made a basic au jus to finish the slices to peoples liking. it was a hit. There was very little leftover. What was left, was so tender, it could be eaten cold.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
I've tried others and will use this from now on whenever I make sugar cookies. My daughter took the "Best Rolled Sugar Cookies" iced with this icing for her birthday treat and even her teacher asked for the recipes :). One minor change was that I substituted vanilla for the almond extract (due to a tree nut allergy in her class) and probably will never go back to almond extract. Vanilla was wonderful!

These were outstanding!!! I wish there were more stars. I didn't have any lemon extract so I did as others did, used Lemon Juice (1 1/2 tsp). It worked out perfectly! My family loves them.

All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2014
Wow! This was so incredibly easy to make and reminds me of the apple butter my grandma made when I was a kid. My family LOVES it. I filled the crock pot with a mixture of apples we had picked that ended up beat up or bruised. I followed others suggestions and cut back the sugar. I used 2 cups white sugar and 1 cup brown. It is fabulous and the house smells divine!

Chicken and Broccoli Braid

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2015
This was amazing! I had to cut it in half because I only had 1 cup of cooked chicken and 1 pkg. of crescent rolls. I used the leftover breast of the deli rotisserie chicken and leftover broccoli. I skipped the almonds because the kids don't like them. The only other thing I did was I omitted the egg white because I forgot to put it on. It worked perfectly! We will definitely be making this again.
