Any kind of pasta will do. I only had bow ties available so that is what I used. It was a hit. Everyone loved it!

Not so Sloppy Joe Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2014
We have been making this for years with one small change..use CRESCENT ROLLS instead of biscuits. The flavor is wonderful and it doesn't stick. Unroll one pkg of crescents into the bottom of your 9x13 pan and bake for 10 min. Remove from oven and add the meat mixture and cheese. Top with the other crescent roll and bake. It's my family's favorite!

This was wonderful. We served it at a family party and kids and grownups all seemed to love it. Even the leftovers (very little) were a hit.

We didn't care for the flavor. The loose leaves tasted bitter.

Mac and Cheese Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2013
This was a very basic but tasty recipe. I scaled it back to 2. servings. I made it as a side dish for our family of 4 and still had about 1/2 left.

Healthier Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2013
This was so easy to make and was delicious. The only change I made was I added 1/2 tsp. garlic powder before serving to give it a little extra flavor. It was a hit and is very WW friendly!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
I've tried others and will use this from now on whenever I make sugar cookies. My daughter took the "Best Rolled Sugar Cookies" iced with this icing for her birthday treat and even her teacher asked for the recipes :). One minor change was that I substituted vanilla for the almond extract (due to a tree nut allergy in her class) and probably will never go back to almond extract. Vanilla was wonderful!

Wonderful frosting. I substited water for the milk and substitued 1/4 part butter for the shortening just to add flavor.

A-Number-1 Banana Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
These were a big hit with the Girl Scout troop. I had extra bananas at home and it was our turn for snack night. I took the cake and turned it into cupcakes, frosted some and left some plain. I used others suggestion and used sourcream because I didn't have the buttermilk. They were amazing!

Whole Wheat Pasta

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
These are very good. I make 1/2 a batch for a pot of homemade chicken soup. I used 1/2 of that and am freezing the rest of them for next time. Others are right, this recipe makes a ton! I substitued Egg Beaters for the eggs to make this even more healthy, they are very tasty!

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
This was very good and I changed nothing about the recipe. I used some boneless skinless thighs and breasts. Even the kids loved it and asked for seconds. I served this with the Parmesan Noodles recipe from this site and broccoli. I'll make this again.

Parmesan Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
I thought they were great! I used fresh grated parmesan which I think really made the difference. My kids didn't care for the green onions so I'll probably leave them out next time or substitute broccoli for it.
