Cream of Mushroom Soup I

Very, Very good soup! I did saute the onions and mushrooms with the thyme in a little bit of butter as I thought they were a little tough the first time I made this. I also used whole milk instead of half and half and it turned out wonderfully. The second time I made a double batch as we could not stop eating it!

Seared Ahi Tuna Steaks

Wow! This was the first time I made Ahi Tuna Steaks and I am so happy to have tried this recipe for my first attempt. I thought, how in the world can it be as good as reviewers claimed with only peppercorns and a little seasoning!? Now I see how. The peppercorns realease an unbelieveable flavor as they open up. Don't be worried about the pan ensures the pan is hot enough to properly sear the tuna. I cooked it about 3 mins each side as I am not a fan of anything rare. This tuna does not need any sauce...just top it with the peppercorns from the pan. You will not be disappointed in this recipe!! Thank you Bethany!

Almond-Crusted Tilapia

This is the best tilapia I have ever made! The flavor is amazing! The only thing I did different was that I used freshly grated romano cheese in place of the parmesan as that is what I had. I am so thrilled to add this to my recipe box!

Deep-Fried Turkey Marinade

I made this marinade last year for our deep fried turkey...It was the best turkey I had ever tasted!! I followed reader's suggestions to add ALL of the pepper and was glad I did. This marinade did not make the meat spicy whatsoever...just marvelous flavor! Looking so forward to making it in again for my family this year!

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

I followed the recipe to these cookies but took suggestions submitted and whipped the butter for 5 mins, and again after adding the powdered sugar, and about 3 minutes after each flour addition. I added almond extract and vanilla. The taste is good but these cookies fall apart upon handling, to the point where I am wondering how I will store them for the holidays without them turning into crumbs. There are so many suggestions on how to change this recipe to make it work for everyone, it just doesn't seem worth it to me to make them again in hopes they turn out.

Easy Curry Couscous

My family and I loved this couscous recipe! I used chicken broth and put in half of the salt but it was still very salty...I will leave it out completely next time. I added cooked asparagus which gave it a very nice flavor. I will be making this a lot more!
