About this Cook
I would consider myself as willing to try anything that looks good. I am a critic of my own...But not to others...I don't like to taste what I make/bake, everyone on the other hand loves everything I make/bake with the exception of my fiance, I give it to mom and dad, my fiance tries it and likes it and then pouts because there is none left. I love to scrapbook, I would say I am an addict, I am an addict. My main thing is baking, I LOVE TO BAKE!!! My mother says I take after my great grandmother. She never tasted what she baked always asked others "how is it". May she rest in peace...Her 96 years. A little about me....
My favorite things to cook
Cookies, Cookies, and Cookies. Pasta, perfer cajun style. Love to try new things...Always looking for something good that my picky fiance will try...
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas cookie bake off
My cooking triumphs
A turkey pot pie (Mmmmm Good), a "french silk" pie (I couldnt believe anything could get so close), Turtle candies (You wouldnt think but oh yeah), Most of all a Cajun Chicken pasta that ROCKS....All from Allrecipes.com-thank you all:)
My cooking tragedies
I made my great grandmothers famous sandwich cookies and the cookie part...I put too much dough on the cookie sheet per cookie and when it came time for the filling in between the two, they were hockey pucks with cream between them!! My dad loved them. He loves anything. Otherwise I think I have done pretty good.

Turkey Pot Pie I
I thought this recipe was terrific, everyone loved it. I took the advice of another reviewer and I used 3 cups of turkey, 1 packet of turkey gravy and 1 cup of water and used the same amount off all ingredients. I thought the extra turkey gravy really gave the pie that creamy turkey pot pie flavor, not dry at all. I also used the pastry recipe Pastry for Double-crust Pie.

Pretzel Turtles
This recipe is soooo easy and the candies taste just like the actual turtle candies. They were a huge hit for Christmas and for potlucks if you dont have the time to make anything. You can make 100 of these in less than 10 minutes and they are kind of fun to make. I used Rolo's candies, as I felt they worked the best and instead of regular pretzels I used the square ones like others did because you dont lose your candies and there is no mess. GREAT FOR COOKIE EXCHANGE!! Thank you for sharing your recipe.

French Silk Chocolate Pie I
This recipe was delicious, like other reviewers I doubled the batch to fill out a 9in. deep dish pie crust. I used heavy whipping cream as well with some powdered sugar until the sweetness was desired. My fiance ate a whole pie by himself!! I made 4 of them for Christmas and they were a huge hit!! A family member could of sworen it was a "Bakers Square" pie due to the flavor. This is one of my favorites and will remain a number 1 on my list.
