Bacon Mushroom Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2002
I did not expect this entree to taste as succulent and flavorful as it did. I chose to cook the bacon first, and use some of the fat with half the butter called for. Perfect!!! Also, I had to use more cream to get enough sauce. Excellent dish!!!!!!

Strawberry Pie II

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2002
This was absolutely excellent, and I am not a fan of strawberry pie. The texture was perfect, and the filling was cooked just right to bring out the sweet/tart taste of the strawberries. Maybe next time will mix different berries together. Thanks for the recipe:)

Slow Cooker Sweet and Tangy Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2002
I used a real thick bbq sauce, but the sauce ended up real thin, so I just added the reserved pineapple juice, a bit water and about 4 T. of flour, and it came out perfect consistency. Next time will use more veggies:)

Auto Parts Chicken

This was super easy to make. This recipe is a different twist on some old fashioned comfort food--fast. That's what I would recommend it for.

Spaetzle I

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2002
These came out very well and tasty-and I didn't even use a spaetzle maker or the colander technique-rather I just broke off mounds of dough, and made dumplings. Following a past review, I added salt, pepper, and some nutmeg. Very good taste, and texture.

Breakfast Casserole III

To cut down on time, I used the frozen hashbrown potatoes and they worked great. Tried sausage links cut up and they worked good too. This came out wonderful. I recommend this to any breakfast lover!

Seafood Enchiladas

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2001
Very good, and different from the typical ground beef, or chicken. For those who are fats-concious--I used margarine for butter using about 3 T. for the whole recipe, and skim milk was used instead of half and half. It still had the rich, moist, creamy flavor in the sauce.

Coleslaw

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2001
A good and easy alternate to regular creamy coleslaw, for variety, I added about 1/2 tsp. of ground mustard, a little less sugar than what the recipe calls for, and some honey. MMMMMM.

Gramma's Apple Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2001
This recipe was WONDERFUL. I recommend using a heartier type of bread like french bread or an Italian loaf (not sliced)like I did, rather than plain old cotton white bread. It is a mouth-watering, melt in your mouth combination of the sweet bread, and the baked apples in one dish.

Crab Stuffed Flounder

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2001
Oh my God!! This must be what they serve when we go to heaven, because this recipe was out of this world!! I used canned crab meat which made the preparation go quicker. Also, for next time, I will use less mayo and butter to top the flounder, then what the recipe calls for.

Kelsey's Cheesy Bacon Breasts

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2001
The chicken came out with a great flavor, and was very moist:) However, following the directions listed, exactly, lead the cheese to be dried out and chewy. Maybe it was because I used turkey bacon and not real pork bacon.

Mushroom and Swiss Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2001
This recipe came out wonderful. It had great taste, and was very moist. For a variation, I used balsamic vinagar instead of the cider, and I used half swiss/half pepperjack rather than just the swiss.

Cheeseburger Noodle Casserole

This is really delicious. I used fat-free sour cream, and added crushed garlic and mushrooms for extra flavor. I recommend it for a quick, basic casserole with intense, great flavor.

They were extremely tasty, and fairly easy to make. One thing--I had a difficult time getting them to stick together.
