Zucchini Raspberry Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
I really liked these. And with zucchini season coming up, I'm always looking for recipes that incorporate it! (And I couldn't taste the zucchini at all, btw.) I didn't have any buttermilk, so I added a 1/2 T of vinegar to the milk, and let it stand a few minutes. It's a good substitution.

Grandma Zauner's Dobosh Torte

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
Wow! Really good. I made this for my daughter's birthday party and everyone loved it. I made it in the 3 pans as directed, but opted not to cut those in half. The frosting was so good that it is now my frosting of choice for anything that needs chocolate on top. :)Will definitely make again. Thanks for the great recipe.

Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
Mmmm, so good! The only change I made was to make a deeper hole for the cherry and fill it with the chocolate mixture first. After putting the cherry on top of that, I drizzled more chocolate. Turned out great!

Cindy's Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2009
This pie turned out excellent! I followed the advice in another review and made sure the ice cream was warm- no separation whatsoever! Beautiful pie that even my picky kids loved.

Greek Pita Pizzas

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
So yummy! I made these on homemade pitas, and then followed the recipe exactly. The taste, even the smell, was amazing. (And crusts/ extra pitas are great with hummus, btw.) Will definitely make again!

Sweet Potato Casserole I

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
Yummy, Yummy, Yummy. This is by far my favorite sweet potato casserole recipe, and the two years I've made it for Thanksgiving, I've had a lot of favorable compliments! Last year I steamed about two large sweet potatoes instead of using canned, and it turned out great.

Rhubarb Dream Bars

Reviewed: May 27, 2011
This is REALLY good. If you're looking for a great rhubarb recipe, this is it! I used 2 cups of sugar instead of three, and I promise you can't tell at all; it is still very sweet (probably because of the crust). I used a little over five cups of rhubarb, and thought it was perfect. Following others' suggestions, I baked for 45 minutes with wonderful results. I highly recommend this dessert!

Angel Food Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
This turned out perfectly, crusty edge and all. I baked it in two 8" pans lined with parchment paper, and that helped them come out of the pan easily (after running a knife around the edge, of course). The bake time with this method was about 50 min.

Summer Pepper Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2012
I really loved this salad. If you like each of the ingredients individually, you'll like the way they taste together! I followed others' advice and added Italian dressing instead of olive oil, and omitted the parsley (because I didn't have any). So good.

Peanut Butter Ice Cream Topping

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2012
I made this with 1/3 C sugar, 1/3 C water and 2/3 C peanut butter. I liked the proportions (it made it kind of thick, w/ a good PB taste), but did mix in about 1 Tbs milk at the end to make it slightly creamier. Pretty good!

Cheese Crispies

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
These were just too greasy. I tried to play with the amounts of butter/cheese, but nothing seemed to work out well. They have a good taste, though!
