I really enjoy the cooking part when it comes to entertaining. Not so great with cookies, pies & cakes. That is why I appreciate what all of you have to share.
My favorite things to cook
My favourite thing to cook is chicken. I love cooking everything else as well. I am pleased we have the net as I can learn many recipes from many cultures.
My cooking triumphs
Hmmmm .... I guess it would be cabbage rolls.
My cooking tragedies
OMG ... I always remember this one. LOL... It was when I first got married. I made a pumpkin pie. I read the recipe for the dough and thought it was for one pie crust. Well you know how that turned out. LOL. After baking the shell, I ended up tossing it in the yard for the birds and even they would not eat it. LOL

Plum Sauce
I have tries this recipe and found it to be wonderful just the way it is. I did find it better to keep it slightly warm. I suggest warming it a bit before serving. Thank you for posting.

Chef John's Empty Mayo Jar Dressing
I learned to do this years ago from my parents who were in the depression. I still do it and now I have tried your ingredients and everything worked out perfect. Thanks for giving me a change in pace. 5 STARS 4 U. p.s. I never throw pickle juice away. Also helps to make a great dressing.

Baked Sweet Potatoes
I tried this recipe just today. Followed everything accordingly. Turned out perfect. I am having company over Sunday, Believe me I am going to make it again for my guests. Thank you for the recipe. I might add 4 cloves of garlic as well. (grin)
