Cranberry Crunch Squares

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
These were crazy good. I couldn't believe it. Next time I will use another post's suggestion and make a bottom and top layer of "crust" and fill with cranberry mixture. However, after the second day, it was fine. You could pick up the "bar" and eat it.

Cheese Dip II

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2009
Very good. I had to play with the texture a little. First I thought it was to thin and added a little more cheese, but then it was to thick...so I added a little more milk. In the end it was great. I should have just left it alone the first time! ;-)

Country Green Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2009
Very good and easy. I used a can of green beans and it still turned out pretty good. I will take the advice of others and try chicken broth next time. I put the butter, onions, and garlic in first and used bacon bits at the end. It was really good.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: May 6, 2009
5 stars is not enough. Great cookies. I just baked around 16 minutes and they were perfect. I can't believe I actually made them. I followed the recipe exactly but did replace with 1/4 cup white choc chips with the 1 1/2 reg choc chips just because I had them. GREAT!

Cheesy Sausage Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
Very good! Prep work is a little time consuming with the chopping and pre-cooking of veg., sausage, and rice. I used yellow squash from my garden and a can of cheddar cheese soup...all I had. I did add bread crumbs drizzled with butter on top which really added something extra. Turned out great. I always make enough to freeze. It reheats wonderfully. Enjoy!

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Yummy! Pretty much followed directions except omitted spices. A little to hot for little ones. Put several in the freezer and reheat for a quick supper. Delish!

Blackberry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
Best EVER!!! I followed other suggestions and just placed some dough in butter at the bottom and the rest on top. I thought that suggestion was a little strange, but it seemed easier than rolling it up...I personally would have made a real mess. But, by placing dough on the bottom and top, it turned out fabulous and very easy.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
Fantastic. I had enough for one loaf pan and 12 muffins. I took the advice of others and used 2 C white sugar and 1 C of brown, a little vanilla, 1/2 C of oil and 1/2 C of applesauce. Couldn't have been better!

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
I used my 12" cast iron skillet and it was filled to the top. A smaller skillet wouldn't have held all of the cake mix. I did sub some pineapple juice for about half of the water and applesauce for oil...turned out moist. Great cake!

Chicken Enchiladas I

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2010
Used fat free sour cream, no water, salsa instead of taco sauce and just "Italian Seasoning" in place of other seasonings and it turned out great. A little prep work was needed. I cooked the chicken in the oven earlier in the day so all I had to do later was put on the stovetop and fill the tortillas. Thanks for the recipe! :-)

So simple. I used large peeled carrots. Will take the suggestions of others and reduce water left in the pan. Even though it was runny...very good.

I can't believe how good these were since they are so easy to make. I followed the directions exactly and they turned out perfect. I had to bake for 30 minutes to get the center done. Thanks for the EASY and DELICIOUS recipe!!!

Brownie Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
Fantastic!!! I followed other reviews and poured on warm brownies. I used Brooke's Bombshell Brownies from this site. Mine did turn out thinner than I expected. I let it cool in the pan for a few minutes to begin to "set up." Once it started to have a little bit of a fudgy appearance and texture, I poured in on the warm brownie. It was still a little gooey so I popped the entire, uncut pan into the fridge for an hour or so and it was perfect! I did also notice that I couldn't leave them out of the fridge in the warm weather or the topping began to get soft again. Beware---this topping and Brooke's brownies are dangerously addicting. Make at your own risk! :-)

Paula's Bread Sticks

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2011
Great breadstick! I used my bread machine. They came out soft. We loved the sesame seeds in there and the sugar definitely gave them a sweeter taste. After baking, I removed and added shredded mozz and ched cheese and put back in the oven until the cheese had melted...gone in minutes! Thanks Paula!

Buckeyes I

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
This was my first time making buckeyes and they turned out great. I used 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter and 1 cup crunchy because that's all I had on hand and it was perfect. They still had a creamy texture, but with a little bit of crunch...just perfect. It was a little time consuming and messy to dip each ball in the choc mixture with a toothpick. Next time I'll just toss it in the bowl of choc and fish it out with a fork. These were great and worth the time. Thanks for sharing!
