Butternut Squash Supreme

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
I enjoyed this recipe but, as others suggested, I would cut the amount of onion in half, cut smaller, and saute before adding to the mixture. As written, the onion is too overpowering. Other than than it is perfect.

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2006
I liked this recipe except that I thought that the filling was way too sweet...it really is more like a frosting. The cake part was great though and not hard to put together. I think that I will try it again but use a different filling...maybe something like a whipped cream with brandy and crystalized ginger. I did put chopped nuts in the filling and it was a nice add.

Peanut Butter Fingers III

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2006
I have been making these for the last couple of years and everyone absolutely loves them. I always carry the recipe with me because I am asked for it all the time. This is a great dish to make for get togethers and so easy.

A to Z Everything-but-the-Kitchen-Sink Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2003
These cookies tasted very good although they have been a little dry both times that I have made them. I basically do a pantry search before I make them and add whatever else I have on hand.

Great flavor and sooo easy to make. I fix the night before and have my daughter pop in the oven in the late afternoon. Add rice and a vegetable and Voila....a terrific dinner's ready when I get home from work.

Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2003
This has become a favorite of my family since the first time that we made it. It is such a refreshing snack and so much better than chips and other high calorie junk food. We make with fat free mayo and reduced fat cream cheese and it tastes just as good. Thanks.

Crispy Cucumbers and Tomatoes in Dill Dressing

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2003
I have made this several times now and it is always a hit. It is so light and refreshing...great on a hot summer day. I cut the unpeeled cucumbers in half lenghwise, then scoop out the seeds. Then I slice the cucumbers about a quarter inch thick. This makes a more interesting shape than regular slicing and removes the seeds. I also use about half of the olive oil. Thanks for a great recipie.

Herman Reunion Cheese Ball

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2001
This was wonderful. Thanks for the great recipe. It's a milder version of a cheeseball that my family has been making for years in which we mixed the pecans into the cheese mixture, formed into balls, and then rolled the whole cheeseball into chili powder. It isn't as fiery as it sounds but is spicier. It could offer a contrast if you are making two or more of them.

Mini Frittatas

Neither my kids or I cared for this recipie. The cumin flavor overpowered the others and we didn't like the consistency..it was kind of chalky.

Easy Yummy Chinese Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2001
This was pretty good but I would have preferred a slightly sweeter dressing. It was also a little salty.
