Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2009
This was delicious!!! I have made it twice now and am addicted. I made it the other day while my daughter was napping and stuck it in the fridge until dinner. Pulled it out 1 hour before & popped it in the oven. One of my dinner guests said "This is the best pot pie I have ever had!" He then continued to eat 3 HUGE slices! Needless to say we didn't have leftovers. Next time I will make two!

Fantastic - minus the mushrooms! I used kale instead of spinach because that is what I have in the garden currently.

Delicious and easy! Made them with my 3-year-old daughter. She had a blast rolling them out although they didn't look exactly like pretzels ;)

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Scruptious! Made it with applesauce to cut the calories and it was sooo moist. Took it to a church gathering and weeks later people are still talking about it! A definite must make again!

World's Best Scones! From Scotland to the Savoy to the U.S.

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
Delicious! I made this just as the recipe stated. Except I didn't have currants so I used frozen mixed berries! Let me tell you YUMMY! I took them to a coffee with my girlfriends and there wasn't a scone left. Even my British friends raved about them!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
Super yummy. I made it in two 8x8 foil pans and froze one. Both were GREAT. My husband ate it for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I couldn't get him to eat anything else until it was all gone. I also put in some tofu in the ricotta mixture. Makes it extra creamy and gives it good nutrients!

Sweet Potato Souffle

I Love this recipe! Although in the potatoes I substitute maple syrup for the sugar and I add 1 tsp of cinnamon. So yummy. My in-laws who dislike sweet potatoes with a passion even like this dish!

Camp Cornbread

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
I love this cornbread. I use the Jiffy boxed cornbread mix and it turns out delicious everytime. I usually double the recipe and put it in an 8x8 pan for thicker bread!

Delicious but make sure to use a decent wine. We bought the cheapest wine and it did not taste as good.

Steak Chili

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
I used two cans of beans but otherwise I followed the recipe. This recipe freezes GREAT! I froze half of it and the flavors really came out after I defrosed it. Excellent! Today I am going to double the recipe and am using dried beans which I soaked in salt water overnight.

Bierocks (German Meat Turnovers)

Yummy! Made these using the sweet roll recipe from this site instead of store bought! Definitely will make again! I didn't add lemon pepper though as husband doesn't like it. Instead I added more garlic and Hungarian paprika!

Zucchini Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2011
Delicious! I took out the seeds of zucchini with a spoon just like you do with melon and sliced zukes really thin. No bitterness. I also used two packs of instant maple brown sugar oatmeal instead of 1 cup of flour. Next time I think I will add crushed pecans to give it a little crunch factor! Great way to use up zucchini if your sick of grilling it or making zucchini bread!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2008
Very good cheesecake and very simple. I cut the recipe in half and made it in a premade graham cracker crusts from the grocery store. I don't have a springform pan so I had to improvise. It turned out excellent. I did not do the water bath as some suggested. I just put it in the oven at 350 for 40 mins then turned the oven off and left it for 2 hours. Then I stuck it in the fridge overnight and I didn't get any cracks. We had some for breakfast this morning with our coffee and it was delicious!

Three Cheese Manicotti II

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2011
Great recipe. I have a hard time squeezing it into the shells with a baggie so I just shove it in with my fingers :) I also like to add chopped spinach to the cheese mixture for some added nutrition. I like to make my own sauce with venison sausage to make this a real hearty meal! HUsband gets very excited when I say, "Manicotti's for dinner!"

Chicken Tortilla Soup I

This was an excellent soup! My husband detests black beans so I used kidney beans instead. It was delicious! This is a great way to use the tortilla chips at the bottom of the bag! We will definitely make this again.
