I did not like this sugar cookie, which really surprised me since it got such a good review. I did add extra sugar, which most of the reviewers said to do, but otherwise I stuck with the recipe as is. The cookies turned out very thin, and when you chewed them, they would stick in your teeth because they were so sugary. Also, I did not take the advice of the reviewer who said to line your cookie sheet with parchment paper (this has never been necessary before, and I make cookies frequently). They ended up sticking to the bottom and I literally had to scrape them off. I don't know if anyone else had these problems, but I am used to making sugar cookies, and I have never had any turn out like this. UPDATE: Okay, so I tried these again, and stuck to the recipe this time... They were MUCH better without the extra sugar! This time, I used the parchment paper, as suggested. I think it is necessary to use the parchment paper with these cookies. I still had a hard time getting them off, but they were worth it! I got lots of compliments on them, and I will make them again.
