Chicken Breasts in Caper Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2014
My husband and I really enjoyed the entire recipe, and our children enjoyed the chicken without the sauce and the sauce over spaghetti. I will make it again.

Amish Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2014
Amazing flavor. My husband told me he would eat the entire recipe (doubled) before we get to our Easter party. I used half whole wheat elbows and half rotini. I cut the sugar to a smidge less than 1/2 cup. I used Kraft mayonnaise, since what is suggested has no place in our life. I was rather generous with the celery seed, vinegar, and relish--heaping the spoons but not going absolutely overboard. I would love to make this a few times a month and eat it for lunch for an entire week. Delicious.

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2013
We have company this weekend. 100% of them and 100% of our family loved these. I let them rise only one hour. I added extra milk to the icing. Delicious!

Chef John's Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: May 22, 2013
No one in my family loved this. I appreciate the use of cayenne and thyme. Everything worked well together, but the final texture was just not creamy enough for me. Also, I think it needs a little more flavor. Didn't hate it, but won't make it again. I can see myself using this as a base and tweaking it with a ton of gouda and more cheeses. Also, I loved the au gratin.

Zucchini Cornbread Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
Very good. Next time I'll use my own cornbread mix rather than buying a box. Thank you for sharing your recipe!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2012
This recipe is delicious with butter, in the opinion of everyone in my family. I reserve five stars for recipes that literally make people get up and dance or scream, "hot !" I love this recipe, but nobody danced. It's a keeper.

Blackberry Cobbler II

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2012
I love making this cobbler, and people love eating it. I mostly use blackberries, but I mix in other berries sometimes, too. No substitutions necessary. If I'm feeling crazy, I put a tiny bit less sugar.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2011
Delicious. I didn't have some things and had to substitute. Still delicious. Used pecans instead of walnuts, and used 1 t each of cinnamon, nutmeg, and crushed cloves.

Perfect. Compliments every time. I make 4-5 crusts with this recipe and use it for pie, chicken pot pie, beef Wellington, you name it!

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2011
I used a different beer because I was too lazy to go to the store, added a glass of water halfway through, and used the slow cooker. My rating is based on how awesome it would taste if I'd followed the recipe. Thanks for the beerspiration!

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2011
I've made these three times. The first time, they were perfect, so I'm chalking the second and third time (both yesterday) to user error. Both batches burned and set off the smoke alarms in my house at about the 18-minute mark! If you closely look at the photograph on the recipe, the peaks and bottom look charred also. LOL In any case, my guests and I devoured the extremely toasty-bottomed 2nd batch drizzled with chocolate. I used only 3 eggs to pretend I was being health conscious. =) I will definitely use this recipe again, despite my preference for homemade and natural all the way (no preservatives, et cetera, which would mean no pudding mix--easily remedied), because it is such a hit, even burned. Ha!

Delicious Egg Salad for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
This is a great recipe! I have tried it as written and also with various substitutes, but the liquid ratios are just right. After that, pretty much all seasoning is to taste. My boyfriend raves about it every time. Thank you!

Hot German Potato Salad III

Excellent! I used smaller potatoes--they fit in my hand--, and the amount of sauce was perfect.

Creamy Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
I was in a rush and didn't read the reviews. I baked it for over an hour! Lol If you use 4 cups of fresh pumpkin (much higher water content than canned pumpkin), you need to double the spices. You'll have enough for two pies at the recommended baking time.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2010
It was yummy. We added some chopped onion and a teaspoon of minced garlic to the mix, and we added brown sugar into the ketchup. We used cheddar instead of Colby Jack. Everyone at the table enjoyed it. That's rare.

Buttermilk and Chive Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
Use full-fat mayo, have the buttermilk on hand to add and suppress the mayo flavor, add more spices to taste (garlic powder, some form of onions, dill, lemon pepper), and you have a pleasant ranch dressing. I could not have tolerated the original recipe without more umph.

No Time to Cook Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2010
We thought it was bland, even after adding half a sliced onion beneath and half a sliced onion atop the chicken, in addition to salt, fresh cracked pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. I would not make this again.
