Cake Balls

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
OMG these are to die for. I love them. I used dark choc. cake, van. frosting, and choc. almond bark. 1/2 of my balls did not receive chocolate outer coating due to the fact that I ran out of chocolate bark but for these ones I kept in the freezer and OMG they were amazing without it even. Thanks.

Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2008
I loved this and so did my family! They all called it Spasagna cause it looked like a mix of spaghetti and lasagna. I read a ton of comments saying not to use the cottage cheese, but I used it anyway, and it was fabulous. Only changes I made were to use whole grain noodles, and low fat cottage cheese. Served with whole grain garlic bread. Perfect.

World's Best Cream Cheese and Pineapple Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2008
This was Ok. When they say 2 cloves garlic, boy they mean it. I love garlic so I thought I'd be smart and add a 3rd lil clove..oh man was I wrong. Way too much! Other than that, this was good. Served on a soft thinly sliced sourdough baguette.

Cinnamon Griddle Cakes

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2008
These were soo good! They came out perfect and Fluffy. I substituted 1/2 of the flour for whole wheat flour for variety. And the powdered sugar sauce...just make sure you only put the tiniest bit on each, or they will be way too sweet.

easy way of cooking. And a ton of flavour. Gotta love bacon. Thanks. Only thing was it took more than the recommended time for cooking. And I did flip them 1/2 way through.

Garlic Parmesan Orzo

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2008
Very good. I added onion, and a bit of cheddar cheese since I didn't have enough Parmesan. Worked well. Easy, fun, and tasty. What else is there to ask for? Thanks.

Baked Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2008
Delicious! Followed the recipe for the most part. I used 9 drumsticks in a round glass casserole dish. Whoever recommended lining the dish with foil instead of greasing...I love you. That would have been the biggest mess in the world to scrub out of my pan. But with the foil. 1-2-3 and clean. Thanks. Also, I found the hr. recommended was perfect. I used a glass lid to cover my chicken the entire time to stay moist. And I found since it was covered, the sauce was thick enough to coat, cover, but never evaporated enough moisture to overly thicken. It was perfect and easy.

Shrimp Linguine Alfredo

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
Good stuff. This is very easy and simple to make. Only things I have to say are 1. I added a splash of lemon juice to the sauce. Yums. 2. It needs a bit more spice. Maybe some pepper in the sauce as well as on top, or extra onion and garlic... something. I have very bland taste, but this was too bland as is, even for me. 3. I agree with a previous comment about removing the shrimp after the 1 minute, and adding back in after the sauce has thickened. But all in all, a very good recipe. I will make again I'm sure. Thanks.

Mini Southwestern Corn Pup Muffins with Fiesta Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2008
Very tasty, quick, and easy recipe. Kids and adults love it. I made only one change, I used dry taco seasoning mix instead of chili powder. Only suggestion I have is I made batches with both regular cupcake pans and mini cupcake pans. The regular sized ones came out slightly harder to eat, and stuck heavily to the cupcake wrappers I used. This was quite irritating when trying to eat them. Also, there was almost too much cornbread to hot dog ratio.(cut each dog into 1/4 pieces) On the other hand, the smaller Mini ones I made with my nonstick mini pan, I cooked a few minutes less, in these I used 1/8 of a hotdog pieces, and it worked perfect. They were so yummy, everyone ate these and left the big ones after tasting both. Perfect hotdog-corn mixture ratio. They weren't as floppy as the big ones.Fun to eat! I will definitely make these again, but from now on will use the mini cupcake pans only.

Green Bean Casserole I

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
I myself don't eat green beans but I make an exception for these! Everyone loved these and had seconds. The only change I made to the recipe was the addition of about 1/4 C. bacon bits(real bacon, not baco's)and approx. 10 water chestnuts, quartered for extra crunch. Also, about 1/3 C. shredded mild cheddar cheese. All 3 of these additions I mixed in with the rest of the ingredients. Yum Yum!

Creme Brulee

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2008
This was ok, but could have been better. The flavour was right on, but I think the execution could be improved. Maybe next time I will follow the reviewer below me, CHEFPEON, they seam to have it set up the way I've seen it done before. I would give it a B-.

Fettuccini Carbonara

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
This is probably not the most healthy dish to serve, but it tastes so darn good, that I can't help but be in love with it. Someone else recommended to take the bacon and onion out of the pan before you continue with everything and I agree. Thanks. I love to make this now.

Easy Turkey Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2008
Wow, this was almost more of a side dish, than an added topping for my Thanksgiving turkey. I mean that in a good way, due to the flavours being so amazing and first rate. It tasted like it took forever, but it was super simple. That's the way I like it! This was great.
