About this Cook
I am divorced and enjoying my children and grandkids, along with friends. The one thing that I have enjoyed more then anything now is cooking, cooking, and more cooking. Most of all adding my own thing to a recipe that I like, then having my best friend, Luanne, be my taste tester. So far she had liked it all and puts her own spin on it when she makes it. If I'm not cooking I am knitting things for family & friends, working part time, and waiting for summer to come so I can spend time in Door County WI, a great resort area for everyone. I am a grandma who loves to Harley ride, of course I'm not the owner of one, but have the opportunity now and then to enjoy the ride, so fella cookers look me up if you want a pretty passenger ;) Good cooking everyone, I love this site!!
My favorite things to cook
I make a tasty Spaghetti sauce, has a few ingreds. most would never think of adding so it's my favorite thing to make. Another is my Chicken LaSagne, it has been a great hit with my family and friends.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I remember we would always be at Mom's after the Green Bay Packer football game. She would make her Paul Horneg Stew, slow cooked in the oven for about 5 hours, along with her mayo cole slaw, garlic bread, and jello salad, sooooo good. She has since passed away, but I have wonderful memories of my Mom and how she loved cooking for her family and relatives.
My cooking triumphs
The best I can recall was making a sauce for basting Salmon on the grill. My girlfriend can't stop talking about it... the funny thing is, I can't remember what I did because I am a, just do it, and didn't write anything down. Opps!

Dijon Garlic Salmon
I love salmon with Dijon, but if you don't like the heavy flavor of the Dijon I always add a splash of honey to the mustard to take away some of the heavy mustard flavor. I like the idea of making slits in the salmon and putting in a piece of garlic. Too much garlic can be a bit much so just adjust to your taste and the size of the salmon.

PJ's Sweet Potato Mash
Even if you are not a fan of horseradish this dish is outstanding! My girlfriend served it up to me at her house for dinner, I couldn't get enough of them. I was a bit leary how they would taste, but I am game to try most everything. Use less horseradish if you are a bit skidish ... I 've made this recipe twice already, yummmm. Worth trying!

Pork Tenderloin with Mustard Sauce
This recipe is one of the best served with the mustard sauce... if you want a bit of zip I always add a touch of curry! Susie Q
