Slow Cooker Tipsy Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2001
The first time I made this, I used black olives instead of green and also canned mushrooms instead of fresh. It was pretty good. Yesterday, I made it with the ingredients listed (except I used Sauvignon Blanc rather than Chablis). I combined my soups, wine, and flour before pouring over the chicken, olives, and mushrooms. It was delicious!! We'll defintely have this again!

Salty Dog I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2001
This is a great drink! I love grapefruits with salt on them (everyone laughs at me), so this drink is perfect for me. I do cut back on the salt a bit, though...1/4 tsp. is a bit much. Anyway, thanks! (By the way, I hope I don't mess up the rating by giving it one star on the kid rating--they're not supposed to like it cuz their not supposed to try it! LOL)

Chocolate Lovers' Favorite Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2001
This cake was very, very chocolatey! We really enjoyed it and will most likely make it again, but maybe with vanilla instead of almond extract...

Chicken Florentine Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2001
This was a great casserole. It was very flavorful and also filling. I didn't have Parmesan cheese, so I sprinkled it with feta during the last 15 minutes of baking. Yum! By the way, it would be really easy to substitute mushrooms for the chicken and have a vegetarian dinner.

RamJam Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2001
I used bone-in skinless thighs for this and marinated them overnight. The chicken had a very good taste, but it wasn't like marinated chicken--the flavor didn't sink it. Maybe it was due to using bone-in pieces. I'll try it again with chicken tenders.

Adobo Sirloin

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2001
This was pretty good. We used the whole can of peppers, so it was especially spicy. It would be perfect for fajitas, maybe with a little cilantro added. We'll be making this again. Thanks!

Chicken Stuff

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2001
I made this using one can of cream of chicken and one can of broccoli & cheese soup. I added about 2 cups of steamed, chopped broccoli. It was pretty good, and we will probably have it again.

Scrumptious Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2001
I made this cake for a potluck yesterday. It was a hit, although I thought the frosting was a little too sweet. My sister, who is a fudge-a-holic, loved it. I guess it depends on your sweet-tooth. :o)

Creamed Spinach Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2001
I tried this recipe last night and modified it some by adding: a can of mushrooms, drained; 1/4 cup feta cheese; 1/2 can of artichoke hearts, drained & chopped; and some garlic powder. It turned out good. Next time, I'm going to add some Swiss or mozarrella cheese too.

Pork Chops with Blue Cheese Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2001
I tried this tonight. It turned out pretty good. It was very easy to make. The gravy is really rich; it would be good served with some crusty bread for dipping.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

These were great cookies. They were very moist and yummy. I'm going to experiment with different kinds of pudding. This time I used French vanilla.

This is a great recipe. I used pepperjack cheese to spice it up a little more. It was great! We'll definitely be making this again. Thanks, Erin!

Continental Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2001
I made a couple of changes: I used plain diced tomatoes, undrained, and instead of onion, I used 1/4 tsp. onion powder. It turned out really good, except I think I'll use 2 cans of tomatoes so it will be saucier. We had it over rice and really enjoyed it. Thanks!

Beef or Chicken Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2001
This is a great recipe; it's very flavorful and really easy. I used this on chicken. I didn't use green onions, but rather 1/2 tsp. onion powder. I boiled the remaining marinade and we ate it over our rice. It was great!

Incredible Punch

Reviewed: May 14, 2001
This was a really great recipe. I halved it and used it for a baby shower. It was a beautiful pink color, and everyone loved it. I couldn't find any flavored ginger ale, so I used raspberry soda. In any case, it was a great punch. Thanks, Mary!

Caramelized Apple Bites

Reviewed: May 14, 2001
These apple bites were really good right after I made them, but I didn't serve them for a couple of hours. By then, all the juices had combined with the caramel and turned really soupy. They still tasted good, though. Just serve them immediately!
