Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
On its own, this is a great starter recipe. I make several adjustments, but this has good fundamentals. It's bland, so season well. Experiment with different cheeses and meats. Bacon, Sausage, Eggs, Cheddar, Colby Jack, etc. The key to the flavor is the Cream of Potato soup, it is unique from the other cream of soups (chicken, mushroom, etc.). Gives it a nice tang when mixed with the sour cream. Great for breakfast or dinner.

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
These had a great flavor. The dough needs to be chilled so it doesn't turn into a fat, flat finger. Also a whole almond seemed to be too much. A halved almond or slivered almonds were perfect.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
These are great as is, but I make a few changes. I bake on a Jelly Roll Pan. I don't roll out the dough, smashing it down with your hands gets it thin enough. It does not have to be perfect! Also, the drizzled honey makes this have more of a sopapilla flavor, however, I have noticed if you allow the honey to absorb you lose that flavor. It is less sticky/messy and retains flavor if you dip the warm pieces into the honey.

Best Ever Popcorn Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
I really like this recipe. I use it often, however, I use a little less popcorn than called for and add a small amount of vanilla for added flavor. These are almost fool proof. Gooey and addictive!

Cheesiest Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
This is a great potato soup recipe. I have to say the Dill and Cayenne really make it unique and supply tons of wonderful flavor. Easy to prepare and delicious.

Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2012
This is the best caramel popcorn recipe I've found. This is the only recipe I use and have used it for years. I usually halve the recipe and bake in a roasting pan. The roasting pan gives plenty of room to stir without making a mess and does not take a full hour to get the desired texture.

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
This recipe was exactly what I was looking for to use on leftover Holiday turkey. The texture was great! I used Colby Jack cheese instead of the parm. cheese called for. May require a little extra help from seasonings depending on taste, otherwise could be "bland". I tossed in some Garlic salt and lots of pepper.
