Melt-in-your-mouth heavenly!!! I like to dip them in melted chocolate.

Pumpkin Cheesecake II

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
I chose this recipe because of the crust, and it was heavenly! I see that I accidentally omitted the cornstarch and purposefully omitted the lemon, but the end result was fantastic so it must not have mattered. Not a fan of pumpkin pie, but I think I'll make this every year!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
If you want to amaze your friends, bake this pie! I added cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg to the apples, Not the sauce. Poured most of the caramel directly onto the apples (I used a variety of 8 apples), reserving a bit to pour through the top. Should have poured it all in with the apples, as I ended up just making a mess on the lattice. Didn't matter though, cause the compliments proved that this is the best and only apple pie recipe I'm ever going to use. Thanks Grama Ople!

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
I took another reviewer's advice and baked the potatoes instead of boiling; saved time by throwing them in the oven with whatever was cooking and preserved the great flavor! The only change I made was to use half brown and half white sugar in the taters just as a taste preference. The topping was delicious and hard not to gobble up by itself. My family raved! Fluffy, sweet, and delicious!

Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
Followed the recipe to a "t", and it was a huge hit! Other reviewers who thought it needed something must not be huge corn fans, cuz it stands alone deliciously if you like corn. However, I do see how it could be a great base to play around with by adding cheese, onions, etc. This will be a side-dish staple!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2008
The second time was the charm for me with the following modifications: fresh, frozen green beans, blanched til tender- much better than canned! Sauteed the onions. Cut back a bit on the cheese and the sour cream just to make it a bit less goopy. Mixed the cheese in with the beans instead of putting it on top, and I just had to mix in french fried onions, too. Put a few more f.f.o. and a bit of cheese on top when it was nearly done baking, and presto! Perfection!
