About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake, and I am always up for trying new Italian pasta dishes. Still searching for the ultimate marinara sauce recipe!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I grew up watching my mom cook, and now I'm trying to teach my daughter what I know about cooking.
My cooking tragedies
I have learned the hard way that if I am in a "mood" I need to stay out of the kitchen, it's a guaranteed disaster every time!

INCREDIBLE Raspberry Cheesecake Cookies
Super easy to make & taste great! Like others, I couldn't find any raspberry chips, but my store did carry cherry chips, which worked great. I also added some chopped hazelnuts to the last few I baked & it made a great addition. If you can catch these ingredients on sale, these are fairly inexpensive to make as well...my local store had a great price on the cream cheese & cookie mix today, I already had eggs in the fridge, so the most expensive part of the recipe was the cherry chips.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake
Love it!! After reading other reviews, I opted for the Bailey's instead of coffee liqueur, I can imagine it would be great with other flavors as well. Also used the mini chocolate chips. My oven tends to run a little hot, so I baked it about 55 minutes instead of 60. Super moist & delicious!

Vinaigrette
I had some technical difficulties when my "shaker" unexpectedly opened mid-shake & coated my kitchen with the dressing, BUT what remained for me to try was yummy! I love the vinegary-ness of this dressing. I used EVOO, and I did half the recipe because I just didn't need that much at one time. Will definitely make again!
