About this Cook
All my cooking is about the flavor. I love to entertain, cooking for small or large groups of people. I have friends that never turn down an invite to come for a party. The food and drinks are always wonderful. Not bragging, just the facts.
My favorite things to cook
enchiladas, Lasagne, pizza, shanghai lumpia, party foods- fun to have just finger foods and exotic drinks. Spaghetti with meat sauce was the first thing I learned to cook. My mom was always a good cook. There was a point though, that I became a better cook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving, always did the cooking at Thanksgiving. BBQ ham from my Dad for Christmas Day dinner. BBQ, we BBQ all year round. Rain or shine, doesn't matter, we are grilling fools!
My cooking triumphs
Pies, I don't make them too often, but don't think I've ever made a bad pie... or main dish. The lumpia, got the recipe from a Philipino gal I worked with and they have always been a hit. Cannot go wrong. Also, Crab Toast and Chinese Cabbage Salads, the two recipes I received from a best friend, who-when we were room mates way back when, couldn't cook to save her life. She got most of her cooking skills from her mother-in-law.
My cooking tragedies
Teriyaki chicken on skewers.... made for a party, they were overdone, dry, yet people ate them anyway. Luckily, I had much, much, more food to choose from. I am sure I had one more BAD dish, my husband would probably tell you, but mostly successes!

Best Burger Ever
I've used the onion soup mix in burgers before and it's good. The oats though, just not a fan, I use seasoned breadcrumbs, about 3/4 cup and has good flavor. Also, using A-1 sauce is a good thing to use once in awhile if you run low on Worchestershire. Thanks for sharing.

Butterhorn Rolls
OMG!!! this is the first time that a 5 star recipe turned out to be just that~! I made them for my Thanksgiving dinner and they are perfect!!! I will share this recipe with family and friends and it will go down in my families cook book! hooray!
