Mariam - Pakistani cooking is what I do!
About this Cook
Married 32+ years to a wonderful man who has always loved to entertain and do a lot of the cooking. He says he is an "excellent cook"... and I'm just the "sous chef"... meaning I help him with everything.
My favorite things to cook
Chi (tea) and the Thanksgiving meal.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving and Eid Day party
My cooking triumphs
2007: A perfect Thanksgiving dinner for 15 people. Perfectly browned and moist turkey, yummy gravy from the giblits and drippings, fresh mashed potatoes with loads of butter and garlic, crunchy green bean casserole, corn with loads of butter & pepper (like Granma always made), fresh rolls & butter, freshly cooked cranberries with orange, and to finish the meal... sugar cream pie and pumpkin pie
My cooking tragedies
Within a month of being married: burning the cookies. Burning the cookies a year after I was married.

Di's Delicious Deluxe Deviled Eggs
this is great! minimized the mayo a bit and added spice brown mustard. Added a bit of baking splenda to make it sweet. Yummy!

Cilantro Tomato Corn Salad
This is the best! I cut back on the onions and garlic and used frozen corn... but the results were great!
